Petit Game Collection vol.1

When you open the game, you are greeted with 4 different minigames, with a start screen missing. At first, the game is windowed, then it can automatically switch to full screen depending on what game you choose. When on the main screen you can choose between 4 languages, one of them being English yet the "Break Out Kangel" game, didn't have an English translation. "Ame's Happy Happy Dating Game" is a short VN with astonishing artwork. I enjoyed the dialogue as well, I wish it was a little longer.. The art in "Don't Die, Kangel!" is very cute, but it looks quite unpolished. Moreover, the minigame has only 3 stages. "KAngel's room" only has 7 notes from the game creators and that's it. Is it worth the price? I guess? If you enjoyed NSO, you would definitely enjoy the Ame's Date Game. If you haven't played NSO and wanted to try Petit Collection first? Not really worth it.

i absolutely adored needy streamer overload and was really excited to play this minigame collection. going into it, i knew that the visual novel had the most content and i was perfectly fine with that. but actually playing it i was pretty disappointed, and the other two minigames made my whole experience even less enjoyable. if you loved NSO... i honestly cant recommend getting this game. at least not at full price. what i really didnt like about the VN, is how much personality p-chan haD in it. i know they HAVE to have one cuz duh player character in a dating sim. but it really takes away from how p-chan IS the player in the original game... there are no defining features about their personality aside from the few times you can pick what they say. i wish there was more to the dating sim option wise than just picking where to go on the date... but even then i still would have been irritated, because we are suddenly able to hear the thoughts of a faceless, nameless protagonist that is MADE for the player to project onto. what i was so excited for about the VN... was that i assumed it would be from Ame's POV. i skim read the description and didnt read that it was a dating sim... and i understand the nature of this mini game collection is to take on 3 different genres, one of those being dating sim, which FITS because of the original game and Ame's relationship with the player in the main game... but it just. ugh. i couldnt stand it and along the lines of it being a bite sized game in a mini game collection, so this is a more halfhearted complaint, the writing in the VN was just terrible. im sorry. it was so r/iam14andthisisdeep to me . obviously there are moments like that in some of the main games endings but the edginess in the VN and the ♥♥♥♥ ame was saying. im sorry. my standards are NOT high when it comes to video games . but since i loved NSO so much i really just can not deal with how much this collection sucked to me. i could have handled the corniness if it felt earned but it just really didnt hit for me in the slightest i also experienced some technical difficulties with the VN, specifically after starting a completely new save from the beginning. idk if this is just me but after the first time ame tells you to take her out on a date and the options are first shown to you, one of the options was greyed out as if id already picked it? when i hadnt? perhaps thats just a fourth wall breaking thing that went over my head (and if that is the case i dont really care for it but whatever) but what WAS annoying was the fact that all the text after picking an option on this NEW SAVE was blue to indicate that i had already read it, even though it was all new to me... and i couldnt access the menu to change the speed in which the apparently "already read" text appeared. which was extremely irritating. there were also some grammatical errors in the dating sim (mostly Ame's text being inexplicably uncapitalised?) that i did find kind of charming initially... but a visual novel with grammatical errors is not something you want to play, is it? i understand it was translated from japanese into english, but i really wish there was more care put into that aspect. if it was a stylistic choice... for me personally it didnt go over that well. HOWEVER. its not that big a deal and i wasnt that annoyed when i first noticed it, but after being disappointed by the VNs writing that just soured it all further. usually im not the kind of person to care about that sort of thing, or the technical difficulties i previously mentioned i really was expecting so much from the VN. one of the good things about it is the art... but on the topic of that. the first time i opened the game, four of the CGs were visible to me... 1 was the title screen, but 3 were CGs that would show up if you played through the game? why can i see them when i havent even started the game???? usually i dont care to get annoyed over little things, but the writing and premise being so stupid to me everything added up and left a bitter taste in my mouth. the VN and everything else in the collection felt like a big waste of time and money to me. the bullet hell was okay. i didnt really like it but thats just because i dont like bullet hells in general. its the most visually interesting game and the art style was really cute. but it was super duper boring. and overall i didnt care for it but there wasnt much to get annoyed at. just very meh. and a waste of my time the angel breakout game is... eh. its simple and stupidly easy but the art is nice. i dont really care that it wasnt translated into english but i understand why other people might. it took me 3 minutes to beat and thats only because i messed around when i first started it and lost all my lives on purpose. i liked the aesthetic of this mini game the most though overall i dont think this game is worth buying. if you care about ames character the visual novel isnt worth it at all and i was sorely disappointed in it... it doesnt add much to her character and what it does with P-chan as i previously stated... Urgh. the other two games are boring. i think the petit games collection sucks!!!! i will buy volume two though because i do so love ame :( hopefully its better than this. another minor complaint i have is NOT ENOUGH AME!!!! I DONT CARE THAT SHE GOT HER OWN DATING SIM!!! THERES NEVER ENOUGH AMEEEEEE

Probably not worth it for it's price, and the translation is buggy especially during the mini-game, Dont Die, KAngel. We get to know a bit more about Ame and P-chan however during Ame's Happy Happy Dating Game so I was pleased. I LOVED KAngel as Alice from AliceSoft! It was nice to see as an AliceSoft enjoyer. Cute little homage! Definitely aim for it when discounted or bundled as it's only an hour long and VERY easy.

Es un juego realmente bueno, su unico pecado es tener poco contenido, pero por el precio se entiende. Lo mas destacable son las novelas visuales que tiene, es interesante ver como son las citas (Ademas de sacar un poco mas de lore de Ame-Chan)
