About
AI Learns To Drive is a sandbox simulation where you can create and train your own AI to drive a racing car across different tracks. The AI uses a simple feed-forward artificial neural network and is trained using evolutionary algorithms.
Customize your AI's neural network. Adjust settings like the number of layers and neurons to see how they affect learning. Experiment with different setups.

Design your own tracks with easy-to-use track editor. Choose from surfaces like asphalt, ice, and dirt to challenge your AI in various driving conditions.
Train your AI using evolutionary algorithms. Over multiple generations, select the best-performing agents to create new, improved ones. Adjust training settings like time time limit, learning rate, and the number of agents to optimize learning.
Test your AI's skills in campaign challenges. Earn stars by achieving goals like completing laps within a time limit, reaching high scores, or mastering tough tracks. Each challenge helps your AI improve.

Fun game, super cool sandbox and well worth the price. 1 request to devs is that I think a run should start paused to give a chance to change settings before it runs iterations but you quickly learn to hit pause if it matters to your training strategy so it's a minor issue.
before you go trusting ai you should play this game and try to make one on your own. it really shows the reality of how much similarity there is between these ais and old school roombas that just hit walls over and over until they have mapped the room.
This game is a total banger! I hesitated a lot before buying it, but as soon as I did, I spent 30 hours on it in less than two days. The mechanics are very difficult to grasp, and you have to figure things out on your own. It would be great if the tutorial were a bit more in-depth, or if tutorials were available on YouTube. People answer questions on the Discord server and are very friendly. Please, buy it!
It's a great game, you can try to do more generic AI or specialized one etc... It's a really fun game to play and see your little AI grow each turns or understanding why your network is to hard to train
Its quite fun 7/10 and teaches you a good deal about AI if you observe how it works and how things affect it. It needs more content though and I think it needs multicore usage since i get bad fps over 600 cars with low cpu and gpu and ram usage.
An intelligent idle game.
Fantastic concept for a game that is done in a really fun way. The UI is clean and straightforward and does a great deal towards making the idea of training a neural network feel approachable. My main concern would be that subsequent updates add content and complexity while neglecting the new player experience. If the devs spend time creating tutorials which properly explain the concepts behind the game's mechanics to people without a technical/software development background I could totally see this game becoming a viral hit.
Very nice game. Even though in early access, it is very good and not full of bugs. The dev listens and is very nice ! Would recommend !
Amazing game. Teaches you about the basics of AI/ML NN's through the act of building and training them yourself. Totally legit. And the developer is actively engaged with the community through the Discord page and is constantly updating and improving the game. I'm planning to recommend this game to many friends and colleagues.
