I'm a little torn between yes and no, I wish there was a middle of the road option, but sadly not. I was hopeful for this game, but came away disappointed. Considering this game is only 1.99 USD, it wasn't a huge loss and it's understandable it would be limited, and it was cute enough, but I don't feel that excuses its shortcomings. The game was too short and superficial, and there are many free games of the same nature that have more substance than this. Considering how short it is, the fact that I got bored pretty quickly is definitely a mark against it. I was intrigued at first, but the range of options is so small, and it turns out pretty much exactly the same no matter who you choose, i.e. "Blue was happy you chose ___. Green trusted you because you ___ instead of ___. You had a great relationship." There were a handful of interesting outcomes, but all in all they aren't much different (if you get to the end), and a lot of the text is recycled and repetitive. It was all very basic and the language was so simplistic during the actual "story" that it felt more like a baby book than a dating sim. Plus, considering the minimal amount of text, I'd have expected better proofreading. And the cinematic text during the--I suppose you could call it the epilogue?-- of each story crawls so abysmally slowly I became very irritated. There was no option to make it go faster that I could see, either. I don't want to discourage the developer entirely as this game had a lot of potential, and it's a lovely concept. Exploring the idea of taking looks out of the equation is very interesting and unique to me in the world of this type of game. The personalities seemed fun, and the relationships between them were interesting and I believe exploring those would also be very engaging. And so I was drawn in to begin with, but it simply lost me. It was just underdeveloped, unfortunately. But I would hope to see perhaps a deeper dive in the future. (Also as a little aside, it was really easy to guess which drawing the personalities belonged to, I think it was detrimental to show those in the beginning. Kind of defeated the purpose somewhat.)

First let's keep in mind how little money you actually spend on this game. The idea of it is great, and I definitely think with a little more time put into planning it out this game could have shined. As it is right now, it's still looking a bit dull and I want to go into why that is. PROS:

Great idea - I've never encountered a dating sim that focuses on personality before.
Asking the colours questions was great and having them interact at times over each other's answers was also great.
The sprites of the revealed love interests are also really good (I admit I have no idea if these were free assets like I know some of the backgrounds were).
CONS:

Barely touch on the colours' personalities. For a game - even a short one - about judging personalities over looks, I was looking for some more meaningful interactions. The questions were a good start but I felt like there could have been a few more - or another more creative way (a Round 2 so to speak) that uncovered more of their personality. After the questions when I saw 'Life Story' pop up on screen I thought that meant we'd learn about their past and how it shaped them as a person; not their literal life story after dating you.
Some choices might as well not even be there and don't match the personalities we have come to know. My example of this is when the option to marry your chosen colour arrives. You get the illusion of 2 choices 'Propose' or 'Wait for them to propose'. I chose to wait for every partner, and every time it would say 'They don't propose because they were waiting for you to be as assertive as you were when you...'. For the more shy personalities this makes 100% sense. But there were at least 3 colours I would argue could have asserted themselves.
Yellow is flirty and confident - and yet they don't propose at all when you wait for them? It just didn't strike me as making sense and since this is a game focusing on personalities it isn't something I can just look past.

No interactions with the colours actually feel meaningful. I know people have commented on the length of the game and said it's too short. I don't have a problem with that because long doesn't mean good or even better. What this dating sim about personality lacks is... personality. You get to know the colours on a surface level, but not enough that it even makes you want to know more. The questions was a good call - there was a nice mix of light-hearted and more serious questions. Then there was the date stage which was... alright. Then you had to buy them a gift and hope it was the right one (you get a hint during the questions stage), and then... you get an epilogue of your life with them? Asides from the questions stage, the characters barely speak at all. The epilogues for all colours are more or less exactly the same
Overall, it was an interesting experience. I am curious as to why the developer decided to charge money to play it. If this were free I would say go ahead - it's an interesting enough idea to give it a go, regardless of the lacklustre content. However, I can't recommend paying for this (even for as low a price as it is) because it just is not worth the money. It could do with a polish, and more effort spent on the dialogue and interactions. I don't think it was a bad game - just a half finished one.
The idea of building a relationship based on personality, in lieu of gender or appearance is brilliant. Unfortunately, the character personalities are so one dimensional they could be tropes. I don't think I could give this game a good review even if it had been free.
Honestly speaking, I thought this game would be really about personality but it's really about you being pushy with a partner, rather than them liking you, they like you more if you make the right choices, and honestly there's no such thing as a right choice because two people could do the same thing and you wouldn't feel the same way about them. They weren't into you for you, but rather if you made the right decisions which was weird, also the idea that adoption is an answer for all couples regardless if they could be good parents or even want to be parents was weird af. I'd have preferred if the couple adopted pets instead, more realistic than the idea every couple wants babies. Even a goldfish seems less stressful in the long run compared to adopting kids and dragging them in a relationship that wouldn't be good because supposedly you made the wrong choice, so it's like basically dragging kids into a nuclear family life because that's what couples ought to do. The personalities honestly felt like stereotypes to me rather than fleshed out personalities. I bought this and honestly speaking I regretted it, even though the premise was appealing, I just didn't feel it was well executed but the art was gorgeous and for it's price it didn't feel like I'd spent too much, but for what it was supposedly selling, it feels like it could've been written better. Again, this is my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this if you were genuinely looking for something actually about personalities and a fun dating game, but this is a simple game for those who just want to pass the time. Also honestly speaking, if you're dating an adult, I don't like the idea of micromanaging them and babysitting them, because one of the available partners basically needed you to play a parent specifically like a protective mother who's nurturing even though they claimed after knowing you they'd stop clamming up, it feel like they were saying I'd rely on you for all the important decisions and it rubbed me wrong, especially as someone who is introverted and has anxiety, this character felt like they were using their shyness and introvertedness as an excuse to not grow or at least make their own decisions. And I know many types of people and have friends of all kinds who wouldn't do this and those who would but this character felt the most disappointing, I only liked one of the personalities and even realistically speaking I wouldn't date them in real life. you'd rather just keep them as friends or acquaintances than anything else really.
There's something magical about only knowing someone by their words on a screen. This aspect of Personality Dating Sim delivers, but the second half of the game falls short. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFOHaSfNR1k If you want to be spoiled, go ahead and watch my video. The first half of Personality Dating Sim is about getting to know the five colors, and this part of the game shines, especially with the banter between the five personalities. It's like being on one of the old dating TV shows with Bachelor #1, Bachelor #2, etc, except with the contestants smacktalking each other. I wish the game had expanded on this and included multiple sections, perhaps in a style similar to TV's The Bachelor, where you come back to the group after going on a date. Unfortunately, the second half of the game falls a bit flat. At the end of a date, you can choose whether or not to pursue a relationship with this person. You're then accelerated through a "Life Story" with a small handful of choices that lead to endings that come far too fast to be impactful. As a couple of small nitpicks, I'm surprised that the game's banner here on Steam and in-game menu both include the appearances of the Personalities when there's a perfectly good image of them all shrouded that's used in the credits and would better fit the premise of the game. (Especially if you "unlocked" their appearances on the menu as you explore the endings.) Also, as a spoiler, the date with Red can go in a completely unexpected direction that severely tarnishes the game if you stumble across it. The problem with the Life Stories is how unearned they feel, and it's really just guesswork for which choices are going to have a positive or negative impact. Either experience Personality Dating Sim vicariously, or experience it yourself by picking it up. There's a fantastic idea here that could easily be expanded or followed up on.
This feels more like luck then a personality dating simulator. I feel like in the game there really isn't a way to actually get to know the mystery date. Some of the scenarios feel like you have to know information about the character that you just aren't given in the small selection of questions you can ask the personalities. I
For a personality dating sim the characters seem to somewhat lack it. The situations are so barebones that when it gives you the choice to keep dating or not you've barely done anything. Then it already rushes into a wonderful married life where you don't know your spouse or what they like and gives you a few scenarios to decide whether it works out. While it's cheap I still feel like it's not worth it.
Great music, and the person I ended up with really fit my protective instincts. I would love to see this again, but with more characters. To be honest, the choice was a little too easy for me based off of some of the "extra" dialog the other characters had. I would love to see a new version of this with greater fleshed out and complex personalities. This was honestly a really cool concept, and it was something I guess I never knew I wanted, haha.
Green didn't appreciate the cat I bought her. Ungrateful B****. Thought it would be sentimental. I only picked her because I thought she was gonna be thicc.
Uma experiencia simples, mas que abriu minha mente para um novo horizonte de ideias e opiniões.
