Today's the 20th anniversary of Persona 3. Ironic is that I also finished P3R + Episode AIGIS today. My first Persona game, absolutely blasted by how much I love this series. Do try the Demo. It was what hooked me to the game and encouraged me to see more. It might seem like a long game but it'll be over in a blink and you WILL be left flabbergasted. Happy AND Crying. It being a long game is a GOOD thing because it makes you spend time with the world.
+++ Thoughts on the game elements:
Music is just 10/10 obviously. Classic Persona. WILL be in your playlist forever. Story is also as amazing as everyone praises it to be. Some dots don't connect at times but when they do it's PEAK. Gameplay makes everything really calm and intimidating at the same time. Super Fun! # So Yeah. Game about shooting yourself (not actually lol) is a masterpiece. Fin.
You try to kill yourself and get power. It is very good!
Once again a beautiful game by Atlus. (I'll keep it simple to not get into spoilers) The Story aswell as the cast of characters was great and got me really emotionally attached. The Soundtrack's also very good and I liked that they gave me options to change some of the tracks while exploring Tartarus. Speaking of Tartarus the exploration itself definitely felt a bit like a slog for me until late game so I wasn't exactly "thrilled" to do that throughout the whole game but on the other hand the combat felt great and especially the full moon events and bosses were extremely cool so i think the positives even out the negatives of the overall gameplay loop. The UI is once again a pleasure to look at and it accompanies the game and its artstyle very well. Overall definitely recommend the game especially due to the story's theme which is something relevant to every one of us and I think the game portrayed it in a very nice way.
It's better to burn out than to fade away.

After receiving a gun from a girl you just met, you decide to shoot yourself in front of her within the first two hours of the game. This was my second Persona game after Persona 5 Royal, and while I really enjoyed it, I think it has a few shortcomings. My biggest issue is the Social Link system. It's very difficult to max out every Social Link in a single playthrough, especially if you're aiming for the achievement. On top of that, unlike Persona 5 Royal, Social Links don't unlock unique gameplay abilities. Instead, your teammates gain bonuses by spending time with them, such as increased critical hit chance or other combat perks. It's not a bad system, but I personally preferred how Persona 5 Royal handled it. My second complaint is the achievements. If you're a completionist, you'll need to buy the €30 DLC to unlock every achievement. That's a disappointing decision, even if it's only something achievement hunters will really care about. I also preferred Persona 5 Royal's dungeon design. Its Palaces were unique, memorable, and full of personality, whereas Persona 3 Reload mainly revolves around climbing Tartarus—a 264-floor tower whose layout changes every 50 floors or so. While Tartarus does evolve over time, it never felt as interesting to explore. Despite those criticisms, Persona 3 Reload is still an excellent game with a fantastic story, memorable characters, and an incredible soundtrack. I personally prefer Persona 5 Royal, but that doesn't make Reload any less worth playing. Score: 8/10. Without the achievement-locked DLC, it would have been a 9/10.
