Truly a product of it's time - a story about friendship and hardships. A real kind of friendship, not an anime one. Game raises a surprising amount of heavy topics, even managed to surprise me at times. Own mortality, will to live and keep on living, self sacrifice and loss. Game features some of the best and some of the worst (Gourmet King, Tanaka) characters. Main cast doesn't feel like a walking troupe of anime tropes for a change. Special thanks for least amount of filler content in "HD" era of Persona games. Amount of useless scenes in P5R made me groan. Here? Not at all. I knew the ending for 20 bloody years but it still left me in tears. Not on Arthur Morgan's death level but close. Some say that it's a P5 wearing P3 skin and I *sorta* agree. One of the hardest Persona games turned one of the easiest ones. In the entire playthrough I died three times - all three to Light/Dark instakills. Do yourself a favor and avoid DLC personas - game is a joke difficulty wise as is. Apart from that I see no issues. Game plays perfectly fine. The only problem is that they didn't really expand on the original like remakes tend to do. Game still has the same problem when there's absolutely nothing to do in the last 25% of the game. Persona games are very loosely connected so it doesn't matter in which order you play these and I would recommend this one for beginners. Not too difficult, not as long as other games in the series (you are still looking at ~70 hours though), easy to get into. Get it, you won't regret it.
