Oh wow! So the only Middle Eastern looking character in the whole game was the
Bad Guy
... AGAIN! It looks like it's gonna be the same thing in the next game too, if that
ominous guy in the bonus chapter
is anything to go by. The artwork is gorgeous and the
futuristic ancient tower in the bonus chapter was cool
but that's about it. The game play was just standard fair for these mobile friendly pointandclick games and the story doesn't exactly make up for it. The love interest
fake-out villain
still comes off as mega creepy with his stalker shrine and locking an actual person in a bird cage no matter how generically handsome you make him. The Prince of Persia knockoff from the first game was better than this guy. Sheesh.
Keeping him the villain and the teacher a good guy would have been way more interesting! These games main demographic is women and believe me most of us can relate to unwanted advances. That could even be the guys villain motive. Better than the teacher... wanting power or something. I've already forgotten. It's like in Eventide 3 where instead of the main character getting to be Queen they make her brother, who has done jack and squat during the game, the king.
And the pets aren't cute they're creepy, and not even in a cool way.

초반부의 몰입감은 좋지만 점점 흥미롭지 않아지는 스토리 전개, 그리 매력적이진 않은 캐릭터들, 페르시아보단 마법학교에 가까워진 배경, 귀찮게 만드는 요소가 많아진 퍼즐까지 1편에 비해 전체적으로 아쉬운 부분이 많습니다. 2편이지만 1편과 스토리상 아예 연관이 없고 본편 클리어 후 외전에 가서야 언급이나 조금 되는 정도라서 굳이 1편을 해보실 필요는 없습니다. 한글화 번역 질이 그다지 좋지 않은데 하필 초반에 여기서만 쓰이는 용어가 많아 세계관 이해가 좀 어려웠고 퍼즐을 푸는데도 가끔 뭔 말이지 싶은게 있습니다. 도전과제가 그리 어렵진 않지만 그래도 될 수 있으면 공략 보고 하시길 추천합니다. 수집품 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2125919378 모든 대화 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2128976716 모든 대화하기 같은 경우 물건에 따라 선택지가 추가 되는 경우가 조금 있고, 수집품인 장미색 달의 경우 특히 24번을 주의하셔야 하는데 시작부터 바로 획득하지 않고 한 번이라도 스토리 진행 상호작용을 해버리면 처음부터 다시 시작해야 합니다. 그리고 저같은 경우는 별로 없으실거 같긴 하지만 세번째 문링을 얻는 퍼즐을 풀 때 마우스를 드래그 해야하는게 있는데 이게 오른쪽으로 마우스가 계속 향하다보니 클리어 직전에 실수로 퍼즐 건너뛰기를 누르게 되더군요. 장미색 달 24번 때문에 한 번, 퍼즐 건너뛰기 누르고 있던거 모르고 외전까지 다 해야하는건가? 싶어서 외전까지 3회차 하고 버근가 싶어서 주의깊게 보다 겨우 깨달았네요;
Overall, this one was very good. Lovely art, satisfying puzzles. The characters were interesting and the plot was engaging. There were some references to real myths (like the lamassu) that are seldom seen, though the interpretation was a bit loose, naturally. The bonus chapter was surprisingly cute and well made with the most adorable purple-skinned genie, love her. A couple things dragged on too long, like slooowwwwly crossing an ice bridge, but that's a very minor criticism, and that's about the worst thing I can say. I missed one of the collectibles… I know exactly which one, because I saw it in the cut scene and my brain went "ah, there it is, satisfied" and forgot to make me click on it after the cut scene had ended. And of course that was the only time I was ever allowed in that room. I realized it a room later with a sinking feeling. But the game was good enough that I'd like to replay it in the future, and hopefully I remember to click on it next time.
I have really enjoyed the history, music and lore in both the Persian Nights game, and I think the games are fun to play. However, I have started to really loathe the "hurry up" nonesense and nagging. Please stop, I know we're in a hurry, because you told me multiple during every single location I've been to! Yasmin was a real hotty though ;D! The short story is that you're in a magic school, very unlike Hogwarts, and you've got a really hot sister called Yasmin, which sort of is a troublemaker. The fight between good and evil, with an extra bonus game in the end, with a sort of different variety than we are mostly used to! What more to say? Well, if you do achievements, make sure you exhaust every single conversation topic there is. I'm pretty sure I did that, but still had to replay 40 minutes of the game, only for the final achievement to pop up... Speaking about achievements, the collectibles for this game are the most annoying collectibles I've ever looked for in these games from Artifex Mundi. It takes up very much of your focus for the actual game and story, and it's really not that good. To make it even worse, I tend to feel those collectibles are shifting in and out, so sometimes they might be there and sometimes not. I actually had to click wildly to get some of these, because frankly I couldn't see them! This game is more worth your money, as it's twice as long as the first! Still, I would recommend playing both of the games. In fact the first one might have been better, even though it's shorter.

An average hidden object game that is animated and voice acted. Compared to its predecessor, this game shows some improvements but also some regression. Graphics are mostly OK; however, it is not as good as it was in the previous episode. Also, the complexity and quality of the artwork seems to decrease with the progression of the game. Sounds and music are fine. The quality of the voice acting is average. The audio for several lines seems to be missing. The story is generic, nothing special. It is also not connected to the previous entry. The hidden object scenes and puzzles are decent, introducing the little creatures as reusable tools was a good addition. However, several of the item descriptions are strange or straight up faulty (skull for a goblet or vase). Some of the objectives are confusing and are hard to follow. The map is set up pretty strangely and is more confusing than helpful. There is one set of collectibles but this time they are much easier to spot. Also, the sign showing whether the collectible has already been found at the location is still available. There is a bonus story that connects this entry to the first episode.
I have played through so many bad or repetetive hidden object adventure games lately that this game was a breath of fresh air. The previous entry in the series, Persian Nights: Sands of Wonder was an adventure game spin on the prince of persia series, but had a very unique feel to it to all the other artifex mundi games, and buried within it was a deep chunk of lore. This game expands upon the lore of the fantasy world named Persia, this time around talking about how magician's lose their power once every 26 years during the double full moon, and that's how they started creating all of the magical constructs, so that they wouldn't be powerless during a double full moon. It the deepest lore I've found for a hidden object game, and actually seems to be a fully fleshed out fantasy world. I didn't feel like any of the situations in the game were shoehorned in, and the narrative of the game flowed naturally. A lot of these hidden object games have nonsensical plots or plots that go nowhere, bland boring worlds, or forgettable characters, but this game has both a solid plot, interesting world, and memorable characters. The bonus chapter for this game is actually a team up of one of the side characters of this game with my favorite side character from the first game, the djinn Mina. This game also had fun mechanics, unique from other Artifex Mundi games. Returning from the first game, is the ability to switch temporarily to one of your companions perspectives to solve some puzzles. This was used a LOT in the first game, but not as much in this one. The other mechanic is your elemental pets. You have to find sources to 'feed' the pet, so that you can use the pet to solve other puzzles. They're adorable little critters and it was a nice addition that had me constantly trying to keep the pets fed and happy so I could solve puzzles. It had me thinking outside the normal Artifex Mundi box for a bit. Highly recommend this game and its predecessor. The game also hints that they are going to make a third, but it was 2 years between the first two games and 3 years since this one, so I'm not sure they will revisit the series or not.
Okay for a casual HOG player, not the most straightforward scene solving but the story was fine with some cheesy voice acting. Bakhtak was cool.
