About

Imagine being trapped in an apartment where reality keeps shifting, where every loop takes you deeper into a mystery you don’t quite understand. At first, you think you’re searching for your missing sister… but the more you explore, the more you realize... nothing is what it seems.
Perpetuo is a first-person psychological horror game where you relive the same apartment over and over, but each time, the walls remember more than you do. The furniture moves, objects disappear, and something lurks in the dark—something that knows you’re here.
What to Expect:
A Shifting Nightmare: The apartment changes each loop, revealing new routes, rules, and threats.
Environmental Storytelling: Piece the story together from spaces, fragments, and subtle clues... no hand-holding.
Challenging Puzzles: Rituals and logic puzzles to unlock new areas and endings.
Unrelenting Tension: A shadowy entity watches, adapts, and grows less predictable the deeper you go.
A Focused Horror Experience: Short, tense, replayable... built for atmospheric exploration, puzzle solving, and the occasional sharp burst of action.
Face the cycle. Break the cycle. Or stay trapped forever in... Perpetuo.

Perpetuo is an indie psychological horror game where you explore a looping apartment hallway and various rooms while solving puzzles. The game takes inspiration from Silent Hill's P.T. For Perpetuo, the goal is to learn the story, escape the loop, and find one of 7 endings. I found 3 endings in my first 2 hours of playing and then spent another 6 hours achieving absolutely nothing wandering in circles. The last 4 endings are either glitched or buried in super deep / obtuse places. I noticed 99% of gamers miss out, they reach the first ending and move onto the next game. I feel they barely scratched the surface of this game. Surprisingly and unexpectedly, the game is deep. (If you have the patience to go digging) + The game is addicting and well designed. It starts off slow, but the more you play, the more it sucks you into its world. It is fun learning the game's interesting story lore, finding secrets, and discovering mysteries. + The sound effects / ambient noises, are super creepy and well placed. + The atmosphere of the game is generally well made, very heavy and oppressive at times. + The puzzles feel original and are well designed. - The lighting in the game is not balanced properly. I had to almost max out the Gamma setting in the options menu. I spent at least 30 minutes in the options menu trying to get the game to look decent. Many items are hidden in locations where you can barely see anything, or the item blends in with the background. - The whole game has an indie dated feel to it, with graphical glitches throughout. - Several animations of the female ghost look cheap. It seems like this is a massive passion project for the developer. This game has huge potential, but is very rough around the edges due to budget. In my opinion it would have been better to use a different game engine to build the game. Overall: 7.5/10
Decent title that lasts around an hour, but it is too similar to other horror games to stand out. The setting is an apartment that belonged to your sister. She went missing, so you began to search for clues. Except for the living room, all other doors are locked, so you can not really explore or learn much. But when you try the last door at the end of a hallway, you wind up back at the entrance. Although it involves loops, this is not an anomaly game in which you must search for differences. It is more about establishing an uncomfortable mood and seeing happenings as each fresh loop adds to the apartment's unusualness. It begins with mold on the walls and progresses through endless corridors, weird messages, occult pictures, and an entity lurking around corners. The goal of the game is to discover the appropriate trigger or item to activate the next loop. Until you do that, the door at the end will just return you to the beginning of the current loop. There are no waypoints or objectives, making it difficult to determine what needs to be done. Fortunately, the apartment is not too large, even with all of the other rooms that become available. Except for one loop, the entity cannot hurt you. However, that one loop might be really unpleasant because you will get caught multiple times before you find the trigger. The rest of the game is decent, with only one actual puzzle requiring you to press switches in the proper order.
A fantastic experience. Really good backstory, really solid visuals, and the last round was a trip - think PT on steroids. 10/10! <3
Highly recommended. Finished it last night and I’m still thinking about it. Perpetuo isn’t about cheap jump scares — it’s about that slow, creeping unease that gets under your skin. Every loop through the apartment changes something small, and before you know it… you’re completely trapped. The atmosphere is incredible: quiet, tense, and full of subtle details that make you question everything. The game knows exactly when to stay silent and when to mess with your nerves. It’s short at the moment, but what’s there feels super polished and carefully designed. If you liked P.T., Visage, or Signalis, you’re gonna love this one. I didn’t scream, but my heart was pounding the whole time.
Perpetuo is a striking and atmospheric horror experience that stands out for its looping apartment concept and psychological tension. Even in Early Access, it already delivers a genuinely eerie sense of mystery, clever environmental storytelling, and moments that will make you question reality. With more content and polish on the way, it’s shaping up to be an intriguing indie horror titles. A must-try for fans of slow-burn psychological horror.
