The game is too random for its own good. I get thats the whole point of the story "chaos" and all that but it doesn't really mesh well. In order to use your cards you have to roll a die and if you roll one of your hit numbers your card works. Unlike most deck builder dice games you know what the number is at the beginning of the round, here you commit a dice to a card and if it doesn't hit that cards doesn't do anything for the round. At the beginning of the round you'll be told number 1 through 5 will hit. Say you play a dice on a card and you roll a 5. That card will work but now only numbers 1-4 will work for future cards. That doesn't sound so bad but the game is balance around you consistently rolling 3 success in a row to active you energy lock ability which brings the next big issue. The biggest problem is to do anything meaningful you have to boost your energy. Attack damage and blocking are all based on your energy level. If you don't boost your energy you'll end up doing 5 damage to enemy that has 100 health. You also get about 1 to 3 attacks a round. The issue is you energy level returns to normal every turn unless you can get 3 successful rolls in a row. It feels real bad to spend 3 rounds working up to 40 energy only to miss a 80% success chance on attack, fail to roll for block, have you energy then drop to 5 and lose a third of you life from the attack because you got two bad rolls. The game demands you set up these long combos but the system is designed against them. The game also doesn't heal you between battle so one bad roll is felt the entire game. The only place you can heal are at upgrade stations and you have to decide to recover health or increase your starting energy. Best way to describe this game: "You need careful plan out your entire turn and don't make any mistakes. Opps you rolled a 4, too bad you lost 25% of your life"

Contains the story-pathing of FTL, customization similar to Dice Legacy and not a passing resemblance to the challenge level of Tharsis. Fear not, it is possible to get the hang of it, though not without the compulsion to shout at the thing, after repeatedly bumping into the egregiously steep learning curve. But it can be fun when it flows and infuriating when fickle. Just be aware, the game-loop is so engrossing that you can in fact lose an entire day without realizing. Difficulty level aside, I detect no glitches in the game. 4 out of 4 rage quits. Gift it to others and watch as hilarity ensues.
I played though the tutorial and one complete run (which I won, just barely, on my first attempt). Like others have said, this is a game for those who are patient enough to think through each and every action before proceeding. If you don't plan ahead, you'll end up in a world of hurt pretty quickly. What I really love about the game is it executes a concept and mechanics that I've not seen in other games and it does them well! Great job, dev.

This depth offers endless possibilities for crafting powerful combinations. - Engaging Narrative: A subtle storyline explores the role of randomness in life, prompting players to reflect on the balance between chance and control. This narrative layer adds depth to the gameplay experience. - Challenging Gameplay: The game's complexity pushes players to learn and exploit the nuances of chance, providing a rewarding experience for those who enjoy strategic thinking. Cons: - Steep Learning Curve: The intricate mechanics can be overwhelming for newcomers, requiring time and patience to fully grasp the game's systems. - Repetitive Elements: Some players may find the gameplay loop becomes monotonous over time, as the core mechanics remain consistent throughout. - Limited Visual Variety: The pixel art graphics, while charming, may lack diversity in environments and character designs, potentially leading to visual fatigue. In conclusion, "Perfect Dice" offers a thought-provoking and challenging experience for fans of card-based roguelikes. Its innovative mechanics and engaging narrative stand out, though the steep learning curve and repetitive elements may deter some players. Score: 4 out of 5—A roll worth taking, with a few rough edges.

Жованный крот этого казино. Кубики подпилены, о чём нам с радостью повествуют ещё на моменте обучения. Не надейся на удачу. Она здесь не на твоей стороне.
