very fun and short game, would recommend
Pear Potion is a brief, well-executed top-down metroidvania/traditional Zelda-like that'll keep you engrossed for its 1-to-2-hour playtime. I'm an absolute sucker for metroidvanias, and shorter ones that can be completed in a couple hours are my Achilles' heel. All the core mechanics here are executed with confidence, and the difficulty curve is just about right; the bosses are definitely significantly harder than the rest of the game, but overall the challenge level feels appropriate. The pixel art is very simplistic but consistent, the writing is adorable, and the map and level design are competent, though it would be nice if there were additional fast travel options, particularly in the late game. Otherwise, there's not a lot here not to like, particularly for the incredibly low price tag. Pick it up, enjoy it for a couple hours, feel accomplished. The game is very charming. The minimalist style of the game's map will make you experience what it was like to play a 8-bit-era game(except most 8-bit games didn't have save, so you can imagine the dedication it took). Despite these limitations, there's a ton of narrative content and exploration available. The bosses are rare but pretty difficult and probably a bit too difficult for some players that will be coddled by the casual exploration part. Better be good at bullet hell to play this game. awesome game and I dont even like pears
This is a pretty cute way to waste a few hours. There is a lot to explore, some tough boss fights, and a lot of charming pixel graphics. And frogs.

Lovely little adventure. :)
Cute and I liked the jokes. This game was exactly what I was hoping for when I bought it.
This is a great game. It's really cute, there are fun bosses, and lots of NPCs you can talk to. You can upgrade your wand at the shop which is neat, its really fun to explore, and the music is really catchy. And it has a nice story. I would recommend this game to anyone I hope a lot of people buy it.
