About the game
Pawn of the Dead is a chess variant which differs from the classical chess with its unique mechanic: White pieces get infected into Black (undead) pieces when captured! But do not worry, there's always a solution to win in these asymmetrical levels.
Game modes
Campaign Mode with 64 levels, a fantasy story supported with cinematics.
Random Level Generation Mode with hundreds of procedurally pre-generated levels. You can also play as Black (the infecting side) against AI, or against a friend on the same computer (local multiplayer)
Classical Chess Mode with regular chess rules and piece placements
Queen vs Zombies: Fight against an endless army of zombie pawns as White Queen. Every 7 zombies you slay grants you a destructive power of magic.
Also, easy transition between 3D and 2D.
Campaign Story
As Leonard the White King, it's your duty to protect White Kingdom against the army of undead. Always nearby you is kingdom's most powerful warrior and your beloved wife, Elona the White Queen. A sinister reflection you ignored all along is awaiting for you, who seeks a resolution beyond revenge.
