PAW Patrol: Grand Prix

I bought this to play with my boys (3 and 5). The game itself is good, and the "autopilot" is great for letting the little one play. But there are some absolutely show-stopping bugs that make this game awful on Steam. First is that the game doesn't recognize all controllers at the very beginning. One controller (seemingly at random?) will be the only controller it pays attention to. So on the very first screen, when it says "Press A", it's already chosen who is Player 1. What that means in practice is that I have to either convince my toddlers to change controllers with me -- a difficult task for a 3 year old -- or talk them through navigating the menus, one.....button.....at.....a......time....... The second is that once you choose "Play With Friends" (local multiplayer), and "Custom Race", and go through the hassle of getting toddlers to choose characters, skins, specials, the kinds of sparks the tires produce, the track, the difficulty, whether Mayor Humpdinger is in the race, and then finally start the race --- seriously, it's like 20 button presses(!) -- there's no ability to set the Autopilot before the race begins, and when the race is finished, YOU CAN'T JUST CHOOSE ANOTHER TRACK! (If you do, it switches back to single-player mode!!!) You have to go through the ENTIRE SELECTION PROCESS FROM THE BEGINNING AGAIN! With toddlers, this is like a 10-15 minute process, for maybe a 3-minute race. AHHHH! Decent game but whoever designed the menus and controller interaction should be fired.

Pros - ultra-wide screen support - voice acting Cons - Runs very rough, only 60 fps to max and feels laggy - Can't customize controls - The gamepad mapping is bad. Acceleration is the A button and drifting is RT. - The cuts scense are cringe - Even on the hardest difficulty the game is too easy

Parents do not be fooled by the lower 30$ price tag. There are plenty of high quality children friendly games on Steam that have more replayablity and enjoyably for all ages. There are only a few tracks, few characters. The only time I recommend this game is if your kids have a real liking to Paw Patrol, otherwise steer clear of this game and save up a bit more for other games. I bought this only because my little cousins really wanted to play a Paw Patrol game, we played this for about an hour and ended up just playing other games I had. There is also not great controller support, so unless you have 4 Xbox controllers laying around, prepare to deal with Steam Input and have to explain to young children why "X" on the Playstation controller is not the same as "X" on the Nintendo Switch. My youngest daughter of 3 totally loves Paw Patrol and being able to play all her favourite pups and also be competitive against her older sister of 7 due to the optional drive-assistance makes this the perfect game for them. Obviously this game is aimed at younger children, therefore don't expect this to be a fully fleshed mario-kart clone with advances controls and tactics. However, the graphics are great for this type of game and even the original dutch voices are available for selection. Would certainly recommend for anyone looking for a kids-friendly co-op splitscreen kart game.

I love this game But if the game had more Maps and charackters It would be much greater

Fajna ściganka dla dzieci i dorosłych, praktycznie 100 % odzwierciedlenie gry co do Bajki. Fajne, że jest Polski dubbing z oryginalnymi głosami z Bajki Psi Patrol. Córce się podoba, to najważniejsze, więc polecamy hehe.
