El juego destaca por su curioso enfoque de mezclar romances al estilo visual novel con la gestión de una pastelería, lo que nos da un poco de azúcar con drama, ¡como en un buen capítulo de MasterChef con adolescentes! La ambientación en un mundo centrado alrededor de la pastelería atraerá definitely a los golosos y a quien le gusten las historias ligeras y dulces. La dificultad a veces siente casi aleatoria, como intentar sacar un bizcocho perfecto sin tener la receta. Además, la diversidad de voces y personajes podría ser tan variada como un menú de heladería, pero se queda más bien en oferta de supermercado local pequeño. Pastry Lovers is a story about an orphan who aims to become a great pastry chef. However, that is not what I got when I played it. In fact, the only positive thing I can say about this game is that it reminded me of Yume-iro Pâtissière but lacked both the charm and substance that this anime portrays very well. It starts off by force-feeding you information that could've been explained through dialogue or by some other means. But instead they thought an info-dump would somehow be better. Needless to say, don't do this. It's not engaging, and if you completely removed it nothing would be different. Remember: less is more. As it continues, we're introduced to the main character Sakura – whose last name is not mentioned until later by someone who shouldn't know it [i] but okay, sure. [/i] I was surprised that it went into 2nd person in reference to you being the MC which was a first. And then you're once again force-fed information about the main character that is brought up more than once, back-to-back. This is called redundancy. It's honestly better to not add the same thing than to assume everyone's too stupid to not get it the first time around. If you do want to mention something more times, do so sparingly. It's also by this point where I realise… why does Sakura want to become a pastry chef? No seriously, why does she? As far as I can tell, she only tries to enrol into this college because others told her that she should. So it's not by personal choice. Now that I think about it, she doesn't seem to have any motivation whatsoever. Not even anything as bland as: “I like to bake therefore I want to become a pastry chef!” I think this would work better if she was a blank slate. A character that you got to name and figure out their personality as you go along. But she's clearly not meant to be that. So what is she? Blander than bread? That sounds about right to me. After that, days are now passing as you collect attribute points or whatever. Except that they've clearly mistyped something. Because it's not days but months. I didn't know this until halfway through the “days” as I thought that I had plenty of time. I mean, who wouldn't think so? So as I hurry along and decide to finally pick up a pet at the mysterious merchant. To my surprise, I must answer a question. And this is where it goes from bad to worse. Because this is by far the dumbest mechanic I've ever seen in a game. And believe me, that's saying something. You have to answer that the game is fun to be able to shop. No, you did not read that wrong. No, it's not a joke. You have to straight up lie – unless you did in fact enjoy it – about your opinion. This is just awful. At this point, I knew that I was wasting my time. And that is what this whole game was: a time waster. The only way that I would call it “good” is if the writing was revamped, the MC given some personality, and remove all the useless extra information. It's like following a recipe but you're missing half the ingredients. Or you got the wrong kind of everything. I think both makes sense for this. TL;DR Just watch Yume-iro Pâtissière as that'll be a better use of your time than playing this.

Not going to sugar coat this, the game sucks, even for a genre which i hate, its worse for the glitches that i saw which were only a few but there is like no interesting things happening. also it is told by a girl's perspective to like a guy, which is gay.

I really liked this game! The gameplay system is very original, with a mecanic of points and one exam, it's not a generic otome game where you only choose 3 routes and just read. This mecanic leads to very different styles of gameplays, and every route is sooooo good, the story is very very deep, and can be really dark depending on the route you choose. Even so, i didn't like the fact that exist a "Real Route" in the game, where you can only have acess to the real story of mc with a specific love interest, but it's still really good despite that. I think it's a very different game, with a good story, some secret endings and overall, a good price too. It's also kinda short, so if you follow the guide, you can unlocked all the endings in about 4 to 5 hours max.
