TBH, this is a game that doesn't look amazing. It is very short at 6 levels. HOWEVER, you can tell the dev really does care about the genre. Think of it like Metallica before they were Metallica, when they were still learning and jamming away in their parent's basement. XD

A good bit of fun. A fun story. A great soundtrack. A very simple and enjoyable bit of gameplay. A developer who clearly cares for his project.

A very fun little game, made by the best Dev I know! The music is great, the maps are great, the story is funny, love the creativity and every single small detail. Got me grinding for the last achievement though XD

I love this game. There are genuinely many things about this that I loved and think show the passion and effort put into this game. Game-play wise, I believe the game plays really great! The controls are pretty tight, Jimmy goes where you want him to go when you want him too and his jumps are pretty fluid, making the platforming feel fun. Combat is also fun too, however, I usually found myself using the throw attack a lot, but this didn't detract from my enjoyment. I like the time element of the levels too, I found an extra challenge in trying to go through levels as quickly as I could to beat my record and mixing attacks up between fork and bounce attacks to keep my momentum going, adding to the fluidity of the gameplay. Visually the game is really fun too, I love the 8-bit style for all of the characters, levels and the musics, the Pasta Master Victory Dance is by far my favourite little visual element. The levels especially had pretty good variety with terrain ranging from creating bridges from destructible pillars to changing gravity with intractable items. I especially loved the design of the Pastomination, the music for that level mixed with the design gave of an almost alien like vibe which was cool. The boss fight being a 3 phase fight split across the level also made it an interesting final boss, with each phase increasing in difficulty. The story itself is also very charming too, with Pizza King's backstory being comically serious and sad making me chuckle. In terms of improvements, I feel the game is pretty short, but for a £1.99 price tag for a game that has obviously had a lot of effort and passion put in by a single developer, you absolutely cannot grumble for the length. I also feel the level end screen comes in too quickly, meaning the Pasta Master Victory Dance is cut off a bit short at the end. I also felt that for some of the platforming sections, the camera changes can be a bit jarring, where it suddenly changes so you cannot see the platform you are standing on, however, this only really occurred twice throughout the whole game. All in all this is a really great game that I would highly recommend. I can't wait to see what else there is to come for Pasta Master in the future :)

Fantastic game! The writing is very tongue in cheek with the pizza kings backstory being the highlight. The thrown fork is very fun to use and is how i mainly dealt damage with the short range attack being made redundant i would like the return of the melee range upgrade in prior builds i found that very helpful. You nailed the weight of the character his jump arc is very satisfying moving in general feels very fluid and most of all fun. The moments where your just moving quickly especially the collapsing town, gravity switching and crumbling sand sections were a blast. In terms of improvements there is a few minor things such as the end screen of the levels being to quick so we don't really get to enjoy Ethan's dance at the end. Also there is considerable slow down when picking up drops from enemies. But again these are minor cant wait to see whats next!!!!!
