Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.13/day in the week to Aug 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
"Paratopic is probably the most important first-person game this year."
Waypoint
You got caught smuggling VHS tapes across the border, and now there's hell to pay. You want to find an elusive rare bird in the forest and snap its picture. You have to kill a man in the back room of a shady diner.
This is Paratopic, an experimental first-person horror game named by Rock, Paper, Shotgun as one of the best games of 2018, and by FACT mag as having one of the top 10 soundtracks of the year.
A narrative, horror tinged adventure game that takes you on a journey through a cruel fever dream world.
Cutting between numerous detailed and varied vignettes, unravel how the stories of three separate characters intersect.
Explore the detritus of forbidden industry, kill, drive through the night, find yourself in conversation with some very off-kilter individuals.
A leisurely playthrough should take forty five minutes give or take, with plenty more to discover in the detailed, grimey low polygon environments. Or speedrun it, if you'd prefer.
Over an hour of gorgeous dark ambient music is used to create our subtly dynamic soundscape. An anachronistic blend of modern and outdated production as glitches and textural pads meet synthesis & sampling akin to a haunted recollection of 90s Unreal Engine soundtracks.
FR/EN Paratopic
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3712134160
---FR---
Paratopic is a small game with an unusual atmosphere. You're thrown into this dark narrative, navigating dialogues and free-roaming sections while following instructions. The graphics are intentionally basic, with pixelated textures. You follow this horror story along the narrative corridor until the final denouement. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3712134108
---FR---
It will take between 30 minutes and an hour to complete the adventure. Achievement hunters will need to spend a little more time on the game to collect any missed achievements. Ultimately, it's more of a short narrative experience than a full-fledged game, best suited for those who enjoy unconventional and disturbing experiences. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3712134068

not much gameplay wise. But a cool experience
Paratopic feels like digging up some cursed VHS and deciding “yeah I’ll watch this” and then regretting it in the best way. Cuts make no sense, characters talk like something’s wrong, and you’re just there trying to piece it together while the game quietly messes with your head. No cheap jumpscares, just pure off-feeling that keeps getting worse the longer you sit with it. It’s over fast, but it leaves that nasty “what the hell was that” stuck in your brain way longer than it should. legit one of the best short indie horror things I’ve played. 8.5/10, feels wrong and works.
Interesting atmospheric horror, I just wish it was longer and had more substance. The soundtrack was great though.
Nails the gas station off the freeways
Weird game, pretty solid one time experience.
i have no-idea what i just played, but it's an experience.
yeah like this is ♥♥♥♥ music is good thats it
Quite mid but i'm going to vote positive. Cryptic and surreal experience where the only interesting thing is talking about aliens with a NPC. I usually like this kind of games but this time i felt this too short. The soundtrack is good tho
uhmmmm what did i just experince not in a nice or breathetaking way, but in a way that i feel like my life span was shortned due to the midness of this game nothing makes and even of that was what was intended its stupid and INSANELY poorly exectuted from start to finish.
