Amazing game so far tons of fun and the steam workshop is also great for those who do not know how to mod using other sites and makes it less of a hassle! Also great for creating my OC's for drawing c: still bugs but early access so its expected i say a big fat 8.5/10 :3
El juego se ve bien, tiene muy buena creacion de personaje, lastimosamente no pude probar la construccion porque mi computadora tiene la grafica en una remolacha. reembolso y vuelvo cuando el juego este en fases finales.

I've been having an absolute blast with Paralives so far! Even in Early Access, it's clear how much love and care has gone into this game. The amount of customization is incredible, and the build tools are some of the most intuitive and enjoyable I've used in a life simulation game. Of course there are bugs. (Hi, disaster-cooking scenario that burned my first Paras whole house down, almost). It's Early Access, after all, but honestly, they have never taken away from the fun for me. Watching the game evolve week by week has been exciting, and it's refreshing to see a development team that is so passionate, transparent, and dedicated to improving their game. I am especially excited to see how the social interactions continue to grow. During longer gameplay sessions, some interactions have started to feel a little repetitive. That said, this is exactly what Early Access is for, and I'm looking forward to seeing that part of the game become even deeper over time. If you're a fan of life sims, creative building, or just want to support a team that is genuinely pouring their hearts into their project, I absolutely recommend giving Paralives a try. I can't wait to see where this journey leads on the road to full release. Huge hats off to the entire Paralives team. Thank you for all of your hard work so far, and for everything still to come! ❤️
First and foremost, it's important to keep in mind that this is early access, they are actively working on squashing bugs, and that this is from a very small indie group. So glitches, crashes, and whatnot are bound to happen. Honestly though, I am already loving this. Have not had much time to play yet but have tried a variety of things and did what I could to push the system a bit. The art style may not be for everyone, but I think it's absolutely adorable. I love that the Paras have actual lore, and the things you can do with both Para and build designs are absolutely insane. It's definitely worth picking up early to get in on the ground floor and help the devs to improve things. It's pretty exciting to see bugs and suggestions actually fixed or added in an update. I am blown away by how much creativity and care they've already poured into this game, and if you're into mods there are already tons available. Sure, I have encountered bugs but most have already been fixed so it's not even worth mentioning them. I'm sure we could all name a major life sim with tons of bugs being much older. I am more than happy to play with Paralives as is and wait for any fixes and features they throw my way. Not to mention waiting for what I know will be adorable merch!

fun game
I have been having a lot of fun in this game, especially in build mode (~190 hours played since launch). There is of course a lot that must be added to get the game out of early access but I'm satisfied with the developers' responsiveness to issues and their plan for what to add in the next couple years. The Steam Workshop modders are doing some heavy lifting right now to fix what’s missing and add fresh items (Thank You!), but I think this will help the developers prioritize issues and content people want in the game. The team have promised continued expansion will be at no extra cost to the player - INCREDIBLE in a time when unprecedented greed makes all our lives worse. Overall, I’m quite pleased with the game and will continue to build things, make fun parafolk, and try out the mods from talented people throughout early access. But I am definitely coming into this with a lot of patience for a small team and more than a dollop of hope that they continue improving and expanding this work of art at a steady pace. If you don’t mind silly bugs and incomplete features and you love cozy life simulation games, this game is a slam dunk right now. It’s only crashed on me twice in 190 hours of play, but it has an autosave option so nothing was lost! I feel I’ve already gotten my money’s worth and that the team is listening to feedback. I have no regrets and only supreme gratefulness for a team making a wonderful game. More Detailed Thoughts Below For Those Interested Build Mode, Paramaker, and Modding are Amazing Build Mode has some bugs for sure, but the capabilities are unmatched in other games. The fact that users can change the colors and dimensions of basically everything helps the limited object catalog feel giant. Plus you can build walls on any angle and place objects pretty freely. Creative folks who love playing with building tools will have many hours of entertainment even at this stage! Paramaker is really versatile as well, if a bit sparse on clothing options. There are sliders to adjust almost any feature (including height) so there’s a lot of room for creativity. I’ve seen some very nicely done human characters and some wildly imaginative fantasy characters. Mods really spice this up too. The mod workshop for this game is already full of thousands of things! So for most shortcomings in the base game, players are able to download things made by modders to fit their desired aesthetic. Basically anyone can upload their house or para into the workshop, and those who are experienced with making 3D models and textures have complete control over what’s in their own game. That’s pretty awesome flexibility. I think the Paralives team made a great move in providing accessible modding tools in the game itself. Live Mode is Just Ok (For Now) Live mode has a long way to go but the bones are there for quite satisfying play in an open world with a very charming art style. The town of Melino is beautiful and the existing townies are uniquely crafted (not randomly generated). The game exudes passion and attention to detail. Pros: -There are already shops, restaurants, a library, a museum, a fitness gym, and parks for your parafolk to visit and do things. They’ll only get better with time but they are already a good enough reason for your character to leave home. -The jobs system is nuanced and there are lots of different career options - most of which connect to a physical location in the town. -A parafolk’s needs depend on their personality. For example, a parafolk that is “good at being alone” will have a “me time” need instead of a social need. It’s an anti-social need! An introvert has never felt so seen (in a good way). -Relationship animations are heartwarming and wholesome. They make me smile. -This game does not rush you. Together card conversations are slow, but I like them because it allows me to enjoy the beautiful scenery or think about my next move. -The together cards are versatile because they reflect the mood of the conversation, the surroundings, and personality traits each parafolk. The system has a lot of potential for unique storytelling. Cons: -The team needs to add a lot more skills, object interactions, parafolk “wants”, relationship types, and conversation cards to keep this game interesting, but I think the systems in place are good. -The romance and friendship progression is underwhelming right now. It starts very slow then it moves way too fast (for romance). I think this is due to a lack of together card options, relationship level bonuses, and relationship types. But I know the team has stuff in the works to improve this part of the game. -I personally wouldn't recommend family/legacy game play just yet. The babies and toddlers are very glitchy, the childhood skill-building isn't really connected with long-term progress, and the genetic inheritance is not fully implemented yet. Also there isn’t story progression in the rest of the town yet so it would be pretty stagnant/empty after a few generations. -NPC autonomy is underdeveloped. The town feels lively at first because the townsfolk are wandering around town going to work, the beach, etc. But if you watch them long enough, they start to seem like wandering zombies. They walk, and walk, and walk. Whose call are they answering? Why are their faces placid and unfocused as they pace the industrial district at 3am? Is an eldritch horror involved?? I have only questions… :) I know I’ve expressed some (hopefully fair) critiques here, but I love this game and I will be anxiously awaiting every update. Thank you to the team for your amazing work!!
