broken bro
This game is not ready. A lot of bugs, Very few jobs. Lacks gameplay.
Half baked EA with community that tries to speedrun Sims 4 toxic positivity and stagnation. Needs another 4 years of patreon donations to not be a building simulator masked as a life sim. I wish I could refund.
The game is fun! I love the building mode and the gameplay is satisfying. I am excited to see the devs add more to it over the years but its already worth it I think
Everything sims will never be <3
Let's get this said right now: if you're expecting The Sims 5 Ultra Deluxe here, you're going to be extremely disappointed. Paralives is an early access game, so it's going to be buggy and clunky. It's under active development as well, so some things may change drastically before release. There's also a good chance your gaming rig that "runs GPU Thrasher 9000 on max settings without issue" could overheat running Paralives. You're also going to see people dumping on Paralives because it's been in development for 5+ years and "should've been done by now." Anyone who thinks a game of this scope can be finished by a small team in 5 years or less is kidding themselves. Money from Patreon, early access, or merch sales won't magic away the time and effort required for development and testing. If it did, Deltarune and Haunted Chocolatier would've been finished already (of course, people are whining that these games should be done by now, too). With that rant out of the way, let's continue! Paralives is shaping up to be a great game, and already has some fine systems in place. There's a good amount of customization for Paras: short, tall, skinny, chubby, muscular, or even comical monster Paras are possible. You can change the colors of clothes and accessories, and even change layering or patterns on some items. Clothes, hair, and accessories aren't restricted by gender, so you don't have to mod in long hair for men or neck tie shirts for women. What really impressed me about Paralives is its build mode; the sheer amount of depth and customization is something that The Sims never allowed for without cheats and mods. I was happy enough that Paralives allows you to expand furniture and put decor items pretty much anywhere. But, you can do so much more than that! You can flatten, widen, or squish down MANY furniture objects, then place other furniture objects over them to make custom pieces! And you can put clutter items (books, plants, etc.) on things you normally can't in The Sims. Layer rugs. Put extra cushions on a couch or bed. Have multiple pictures and posters on the same wall. Make a dresser that has a bookshelf on top of it. You just have to experiment a little! The live/story mode is pretty decent so far. Being able to select multiple Paras at once to do an activity is great. Have a group sit to watch TV, work out, or just chat it up. Having more than 4 random options for a job at the start of the game is nice, too. And I haven't seen any random events that give me a choice of lose job, get demoted, or just ignore the event entirely. Another huge plus: there's no Environment bar that's impossible to fill because you don't have the best flooring, paint, lighting, and landscaping that your folks actually want. Of course, with Paralives being an early access game, there's still a fair bit to be desired. I can't run this game for more than an hour or two, because my CPU and GPU get absolutely roasted. I have most graphics options set on mid to low, and a machine that can run some fairly intensive games. I am on a Linux PC, however, so that could be part of the issue. Even with the customization options available, the Para creation and build modes feel a little lacking. Being able to select different patterns and materials for everything would be a massive improvement, as would some better organization options for clothing. Some of the tools and options aren't very easy to find. For instance, most Paras seem to start with very intense blush on their cheeks. I had no idea you could adjust or remove this until I went searching online. I also didn't know about the transform tool for furniture until seeing some videos about it. Speaking of build mode, you can't actually build or customize lots or houses unless you have a Para living in them. I'd like to be able to see what's available to my Paras before I buy it or have the option to make custom houses without needing a family present on it. Another thing that would make my day is having a blank neighborhood or two to work with. As nice as live/story mode is, it's EXTREMELY buggy. My Paras never sit down to read books; they all clump together and stand in one spot near the bookshelf, even if seating is available. Paras in group activities never seem to want to end them, even when their needs are in the red. If Paras go idle, they don't do much besides play on their phones, even if other stuff is available. Some animations are very clippy and glitchy; blankets might explode into pointy artifacts when used, and some accessories and hair clip through clothing or bodies. All in all, Paralives has a decent amount of stuff to play with, and the devs are working hard to get things nice and polished. I definitely recommend it if you want to support the devs, or if you just want to mess around with what's there despite the bugs and missing features. If you're not willing to deal with an incomplete and poorly optimized game, you're better off waiting until it's finished or updated to a point you can tolerate.
I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoy playing sandbox or dollhouse games.
Me gusta que puedes personalizar las cosas a tu gusto. Pero, encuentro que hay varias cosas limitadas. Lo que menos me gusta son las conversaciones, el hecho de ser tan limitado me aburre.
It's not worth the money.. a little boring, just the sims re-skinned.. sorry to say this but i failed to see anything different.
