Highly enjoyable word game

Even if I just started playing this game, I'm already enjoying it a lot! There's a lot of touches that make this translation of the board game quite nice. I liked how clean the iconography is present and how quickly one can recap information by just tapping the items on the screen. The visual effects could be more intense and the special moves could be supported with more flashier visuals. But overall, the game is satisfying and challenging! I can't wait to play more.

[b]ELEVATOR PITCH: Slay the Spire with Words[/b] LIKED: You don't need to have a large vocabulary to win. Difficulty is challenging. There is a lot going on and probably the Magnum Opus of all Fowers games. Oops in not reviewing within the 30 minute window. I had my Steam Deck on sleep mode so the clock continues to tick. DISLIKED: As with all Fowers games, the UI could be smoother. However, it doesn't detract from the core fun gameplay. This could enable you to purchase the physical copy. Historically, I'm a big completionist when it comes to gaming, but my backlog will just not die and adulting obligations continue to mount. I needed to find some sense of accomplishment with my backlog other than buying them at great discount. Dedicating at least 30 minutes of play per game will be my arbitrary sense of achievement. It may not justify my gaming spending habits, but I'll suffer less buyer's remorse. Who knows, in 30 minutes I might discover a great game I want to revisit and something you want to purchase.
