About
Step into a warm, flour-dusted world where pan dulce takes center stage. Merge adorable conchas, cuernitos, and more to discover delicious new treats in this whimsical puzzle game. With a dash of strategy and a sprinkle of tradition, PancitoMerge blends the joy of classic falling block games with the vibrant spirit of a neighborhood panadería. Great for cozy breaks or climbing the leaderboards, no baking skills required! *Caution - May cause sudden cravings for pan dulce.
The goal is simple: merge matching breads to create higher-level ones, aiming for the highest score possible while unlocking every type of bread in a single run. But be careful, the game ends if the breads stack up to the top of the bag!
Every 5 drops, a customer arrives with a specific bread request. Fulfill their order by clicking/tapping on the requested bread in the bag.

PancitoMerge is a love letter to Mexican culture and the joy of pan dulce. From colorful conchas to buttery cuernitos, each bread is inspired by real treats found in local bakeries, celebrating the warmth, tradition, and creativity of Mexican baking.
The idea for the project started when Fáyer (the game director) saw Vanila's pan dulce illustrations, he made a note about making a game that used that art, possibly on a casual puzzle like suika. Then, a whole year after, he found himself with some free time and decided to prototype the concept. He then reached out to Vanila to invite her to collab on it and she really liked the prototype, so they both started working on the web version. The main plan was to make it and if people liked it enough, they would see if it made sense to make it into something bigger. People really liked so here we are working on a bigger version for all of you!

Pancito Merge is a loving tribute to traditional Mexican bakeries. The gameplay is as addictive as the visuals are as appetizing. It's a simple pair-stack game, but goodness gracious did it become real difficult to put down. A joy. Give it a whirl.

Me dio mucha hambre mientras jugaba... 10/10
Highly recommend this if you're looking for a chill game to relax too as you watch something. This is a merge drop puzzle game. There are 3 different modes. You do the same each one however, they differ in the types of breads/pastry types. My favourite mode was the day of the dead stage. I loved seeing the designs of the customers that would come for this one. If you're on a diet don't play this. The way I kept wanting to go out and get some tarts, doughnuts, cream buns, cookies, etc as I played. I really want to try the breads in the game. Congrats to the devs for adding another bucket list item to do.
This is the first game in my collection that I bought the day I found out that it existed. I downloaded the demo, realised that I was hopelessly addicted and purchased the full game. Unlike other Suika clones I've encountered, this one is better than the original in every way! Lovely graphics, cosy atmosphere, a nice variety of pastries to merge together. And you can read information about them if you press the "i" key, which is a great educational touch! Once every five "drops", a customer turns up, and asks to buy a pastry from your bag. If you ignore the request, they will change it 5 drops later, hopefully to something you have and/or are willing to sell. This makes the game feel a bit like Tetris as well. Pancito Merge is one of the cosiest and most accessible games I've encountered. Everything looks big and friendly; There isn't much reading, unless you choose to read up on what the pastries are; There are no colour dependencies; You can control the game with the keyboard and/or mouse; Most importantly, there are no timers, so you can truly relax while playing. Day of the Dead and JapoMexa levels have been added recently, but they work in exactly the same way, at the same pace. Some people felt the original Suika was a bit too hard, due to how hard it is to get to the biggest fruit. In some ways, Pancito Merge is harder - both because the pastries are not always round, so it's harder to make them roll together, and because the score goes up slower. It would have been easier if the customers could buy more than 1 item at a time. Another minor gripe is that there is no option to save progress - even my name doesn't save properly, which is very strange for a game with a score leaderboard.... But these issues can be easily resolved with an update. And, since there is already split-screen multiplayer, maybe there is hope for online multiplayer too? Overall, I hope the devs make enough sales to develop this little gem further. Everyone needs a title like this in their library, to just let them relax at the end of a stressful day and watch things go "pop".
Very cute, and a bit addicting! I love how the breads bounce. Its a small thing, but its a glimmer for me. I also like the different bakeries. I really hope they add more to them soon! A cute, low-stress game that keeps my adhd self entertained for quite a while. <3
