My first impression: "Oh great, one of these strip the girl interaction games that claim to not be and do something educational. Eh, it is less than $4 may as well get it, play it till the boobs pop out, and then refund it for being the crap it is." What I actually got: "Wait a minute there is no nudity AND the game is actually... good? Meh, it was under $4 I'll just keep it to support who made this." The Review: This game is a study aid and incentive learning tool for those who are at intro level Japanese and want to learn how to read Katakana and Hiragana. Why it has a nudity tag is beyond my comprehension as there is no workshop content that adds it or a separate site to download it from that I can find. Teen would be the worst I could see this game rated at and even that is kind of hard to justify. I would best describe it as a learning game you might not want to play at Starbucks because the high pitched anime voice can get old and annoying fast. Good thing mute comes in handy. While it is not the strip-poker style of visual aid learner I thought it was, there is an animated character of your choosing with semi good boob physics that will jump for joy at your correctness. There are different characters you can pick to be your visual incentive that have different looks but, they all have the SAME voice and mannerisms. There is no cold haughty demeanor from the teacher nor a calm yet cheerful attitude from "that hot girl that sits next to you." All you get is the rantings of a spastic cat-girl regardless of who you pick. Thus I choose you mute button! There are options as to what outfits you can pick. None of them fly off or "slip" when the character jumps. (Superglue was used in the making of this it seems.) Also night mode does not induce any raunchiness as it just darkens the screen. A neat feature, but useless. The lessons feature that was added is a plus as you can learn by progressive steps instead of having it all dumped in your lap sink or swim style. My summary of this game is that there is real work put into it, but could use a bit more polish. Such as giving the the characters different voices and mannerisms instead of just a skin swap. Nudity is not in this game but seems like it was intended to be there at some point in development but was opted out of.(awww, but boobies) I could also be completely wrong about that. I would recommend this game to those wanting to step into learning Japanese in a fun(ish) manner. This game does as advertised and will teach you Katakana and Hiragana in a flashcard style approach. (sadly with no flashing involved) With the game only being sold at $3.99US picking it up is hard to say no to for the level of teaching it does. PamPam Kana Students is just like how the outfits are placed on its characters, solid with a little bit of shakiness to it.

Sure, you can select teachers with bikinis and that's fun, but that's not just that, you can really learn Hiragana and Katakana through different game modes. Kudos to the dev.

FOR ENGLISCH READERS (german later in the text): Really good idea, but poor result as learning tool.i am learning kana from books and in this app i am missing dakuten, the " which changes K to G, S to Z and so on. As table of voices they also should add the "tiny Y" sieries (Kyu, Ryu, Myu and so on). The first menu "Lesson" is not a real lesson. Its just the same randomized style, i missed some real teaching such like the "learn japanese for survival" series (better learning games in JRPG style).. And i would prefer keyboard typing oder the full voice table to choose an answer, not only 3. it is a little bit stupid. very cute idea with waifu material, but stupid for real learning/teaching... and the better play modes can played with both kana types only. not hiragana or katagana alone. Its a pain and shame, because the discord channel of the dev (given in the app) is no more available. So i cannot write the dev some suggestions :-/ FÜR DEUTSCHE LESER: Von der Grundidee her ist es echt gut. Eine von mehreren Waifu-Anwärterinnen steht an der Schultafel und reagiert auf die Eingaben des Kana-Quiz. Ist etwas frischer und freundlicher als die diversen Web und App-Quizzes die man zum Thema Kana (Hiragana/Katagana) und Kanji so kennt. Leider wirkt das Spiel auf mich sehr unfertig oder es wurden schlicht Dinge vergessen oder gar nicht bedacht. Ich mal mal vermuten dass die Entwickler selbst noch gar nicht alle Kana kennen. WEIL: Es fehlt jede Dakuten-Variante, die Kana mit den zwei kleinen Strichen, die jene K zu G Lauten, S zu Z Lauten und der gleichen umwandeln. Die H Reihe hat mit dem kleinen Kreis nicht nur die B sondern auch P Reihe. Im schulischen Kontext sollten auch diese abweichenden Laute abgefragt werden, nicht nur die "Basis-Symbole". Das Spiel Hiragana Battle aus "Learn Japanese to survive" macht das deutlich besser (als JRPG leider nicht für Highspeed Testungen geeignet). Der Vollständigkeit wegen sei auch erwähnt dass mir noch etwas fehlt. Ich nenne es mal die "kleine Y"-Serie, also Kana Kombinationen die einige zusätzliche Leute erzeugen (Kyo, Myo, Ryo, Gya usw). Ok, bei dem Preis sollte man nicht meckern. Dennoch fehlt mir einfach zu viel um damit Spaß haben zu können. Die Antwortauswahl ist zu klein. Man bekommt 3 zufällige Antwortmöglichkeiten von der eine die richtige ist. Eine ernst gemeinte Prüfung des gesamten Kana-Wissens ist das natürlich nicht. Da wäre eine kleine Romaji-Tabelle, Pulldownmenü oder hnlichem mit kleinen romaji buttons sinnvoller, oder die Eingabe per Tastatur. Eine umgekehrte Abfrage wäre auch sinnvoll so dass man beim Laut (gegegeben in romaji oder per audio) das passende Kana Zeichen eingeben/wählen muss. Fehlt alles. Die Lessons (Lektionen) sind auch nur eine Art Miniatur-Zufallsgenerator. Lektionen oder Erklärungen, Schreibreihenfolgen ("Stroke Order") und Nebeninformationen sucht man hier vergeblich. All das ist bei "Learn Japanese to survive" viel besser gelöst. Aber selbst als kleiner Flashcard-Trainer/Tester eignet sich diese App nicht, wie vorhin schon erwähnt. Außerdem finde ich es etwas dumm, dass ausgerechnet die interessantesten Spielmodi (Time Attack, Survival etc) nur mit beiden Kana Gruppen laufen. So kann ich mein Hiragana Wissen nicht herausfordern, da ich Katakana erst etwas später lerne. Da der Discord auch schon wieder tot zu sein scheint, kann ich dem Entwickler auch nicht schreiben um Verbesserungsvorschläge zu machen. Für mich wirkt das Produkt in der Form total unausgereift.

Bonjour , jeux ma foi sans prétention qui tente de nous faire apprendre les kanjis , les musiques sont agréable et pour les amateurs de kawai vous serez servis , en revanche cela manque d'un récapitulatif de nos erreurs pour retravailler la ou le bas blesse , mais sinon dans l'enssemble un bon petit jeu tranquille :)
