Creative! It's not entirely polished--I often got "stuck" trying to walk around town because the allowed pathing is very specific and apparently invisible--I can't walk on things that look like paths and can walk on (some things) that don't look like paths. I don't know much French but initially recognized words from the easy conversations and I didn't bother to translate the ones I knew. It wasn't until the conversations got harder that I realized I'd hurt my ability to play by failing to translate. That's a clever quirk. The game got much more dramatic after I got into Unk's house and I anticipate the full game will be worthwhile.

I find it crazy how I am trying to learn french with duolingo and this cute game popped up!

Nice story, concept, mechanics and funny. Voice actors and art is also good. Would definitely be a fun way to learn French. The area is somewhat hard to navigate, especially with invisible barriers and the aura and patience points suddenly dropping when the dialogue ended gave lovely heart attacks.

You have to know at least a tiny bit of French already to get anywhere

Very promising demo! I took a few years of French in high school so I was able to understand all the vocabulary so far, but it was still very fun and having the intensity of miscommunication as the battle mechanic was very well executed. Looking forward to playing the full game once it's ready!
