Just finished playing the game, the story is amazing and loved how they showcased indian culure through out the game! Playing as seenu is very exciting and emotional.
Wow, what a lovely story and narration! I thoroughly enjoyed the game from start to finish. The storytelling was engaging, and the overall experience was really enjoyable. Kudos to the developers. You guys should make Part II.
Just finished the game and it was so good. I really loved the music and the credit song. I played the game in English but I will play it again in Telugu. The hammer brute quest is my fav lol, the combat was fun. It runs pretty smoothly on the Mac, in case Mac users are wondering! Overall, the game's cute. music is great, story is pretty good too. I had a great time playing and exploring an Indian village!

Just completed Palm Sugar, and I’m genuinely so proud to see a game like this made in Telugu ❤️ Absolutely loved the art style and the cute pixel art. The game has so much charm, and that climax was really something! Huge congratulations to the whole team. Proud of you guys! ❤️
This game was a genuinely pleasant surprise. It still needs some polish in areas like dialogue, navigation, and combat, but what it absolutely nails is the experience. It feels like watching a really good South Indian movie where you grab your popcorn, settle in, enjoy the drama, and let the twists and turns do their thing. The narrative got me engaged, and while the combat is fairly limited, it works well because it exists primarily to serve the story. You can comfortably finish the whole thing in around 2-4 hours, making it short and sweet. More importantly, I'm genuinely happy to see an Indian studio put together something this entertaining. Calling it a "South Indian film in game form" might sound cliche, but the comparison fits surprisingly well. It has the drama, the twists, the spectacle, and that distinctly Indian flavour that makes the experience stand out. This is a short and sweet game that I'd absolutely recommend going into with minimal expectations. It's honestly far more entertaining than a lot of the South Indian films I've watched lately. Really hoping we get more games like this from Indian developers. There's clearly something here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do next.
The twist in the end was never expected i love this game. story was rich, challenging combat and i never expected Telugu launguage in this game. sound effects are super nice game
The game starts in a jail, with the hero of the game, Seenu, who has been accused of a murder. Since the inmate sharing his cell is interested in how it all happened, Seenu tells him how it all began because he was in love with a girl from his village. The story jumps back to the beginning, when things get complicated after you beat up a gang. Unfortunately, one of the hoodlums was the little brother of the village’s gang leader, who has ties to the police and is involved in the drug business. The story is quite brutal, and the same goes for the art, which doesn’t shy away from blood, including a gory scene where a train cuts right through a person. You don’t have a lot to worry about when it comes to controls. There’s movement, an interaction button for talking or picking things up, a dash to get away from enemy attacks, and an attack button. You start with a stick and a slingshot, and although you can only carry so many stones that serve as ammo, this usually isn’t a problem because you can find them nearby in unlimited supply, although you need to wait a few seconds for them to respawn. Although the game has six chapters, they all take place in the same village that you can explore. Sadly, there’s nothing interesting to find by sticking your nose everywhere, and the only spots of interest are the main story objective, marked with a white arrow, or rare blue arrows pointing to a side mission. But it turns out there are only two side missions, one of which has to be triggered first by finding the person with an exclamation mark above them, and nothing points you toward it. While one rewards you with a sack that lets you carry more ammo, the other gives you a new ammo type that travels farther and deals more damage. The rest of the exploration matters only for one achievement in which you have to visit all parts of the map. You have several hearts that represent your health, but the first few fights are against stronger enemies. So instead of losing a heart or half of one after a hit, like you do against the normal grunts you encounter later, you lose several and sometimes die immediately. This makes the extra heart pointless, especially because it’s incredibly annoying to heal. Healing comes from fruit hanging on trees, but you need to shoot it with a slingshot, and each piece of fruit heals only one heart, so you need to grab several. Because of that, you can easily ignore the fruit mechanic entirely because when you die, you respawn at a shrine with full health, or at the last checkpoint if the story takes you somewhere else. Once you get comfortable with the dodge timing and gain an axe a few minutes into the game, all other weapons become useless. Although slow, an axe deals a lot of damage to everything it hits. But none of this gets to shine much because the game is very short and can be finished in less than one hour. Except for one situation that doesn’t explain the mechanics – killing a chicken and using meat to distract dogs – progress is fast, almost too fast, and the price of the game should be lower or at least wait for a discount. It also gets easier, like in the battle encounter near the end where enemies won’t pass an invisible line on the ground, allowing you to hit them from the other side without any fear of retaliation. This is also a good spot to grind for achievements that require you to kill enemies with different weapons or throw hay near cows that will smash into them.
Totally worth every single rupee! 10/10 ⭐ Top Tier Indie Gem! ❤️ Playing this game makes it crystal clear that the developer has poured their whole heart and soul into it. The art style, game mechanics, sound design... everything is so good, and you can tell how much attention was paid to every little detail. This is exactly the kind of passion you want to see in indie games. There might be a few minor bugs, but the dev is updating it so actively that you can't even complain. If you feel like modern games are missing that special magic, you DEFINITELY need to try this one. Absolutely worth every single rupee! 10/10 ⭐
⭐ Minha nota pessoal: 9 / 10
