I'm a simple person. If it's got a historical setting, I'm in. If it's Roman Empire stuff? I'm so in. Ovidius Blood for Love hit that sweet spot for me right away. The game is on the tighter side length-wise, but honestly I prefer that. It tells the story it wants to tell and doesn't pad itself out with a bunch of fluff just to hit some arbitrary hour count. Every scene feels like it matters. Quick thoughts on the craft: · Art: 8/10. Really nice to look at, consistent style throughout. · Story: 9/10. This is the standout. Whoever wrote this actually cares about the Roman setting and it shows. Felt more like a proper historical piece than your average adult VN. · Animations: 7/10. They do what they need to do. Not mind-blowing but totally fine. Bottom line: if Roman history is your thing, grab this. If you just want a well-written adult visual novel that respects your time, grab this. I'd play a sequel in a heartbeat, maybe with a few more chapters next time so I can keep living in this world a little longer. Recommended!

Das Spiel ist nett, es gibt wenige, kurze aber recht gut gemachte Animationen, auch zahlreiche Action Szenen. Wenn es nicht so kurz wäre: Gerade mal 100 Minuten Spielzeit. Eigentlich etwas wenig für den Preis. Selbst bei 20% Rabatt für 9 Euro kommt man sich etwas benachteiligt vor. Speziell weil das Spiel quasi vor dem eigentlich erwarteten Höhepunkt endet. Leider gibt es keine Galeriefunktion, man müsste vor jeder Actionszene abspeichern, falls man die später noch einmal bewundern möchte. Was mich zusätzlich etwas stört ist der Umstand, dass zwei der Love Interest fast gleich aussehen. Euphemia und Elara sind kaum von einander zu unterscheiden. Beide relativ kurze dunkle Haare und beide blauäugig, was mit in Bezug auf römische Bürgerinnen doch etwas spanisch vorkommt. Es gibt zwar auch blonde Italienerinnen mit blauen Augen, aber die Kombination schwarze Haare und blaue Augen ist doch relativ selten und tritt im Spiel zu gehäuft auf. Schade finde ich auch, dass die eigene Haussklavin obwohl von ihrer Seite eindeutiges Interesse besteht, keinerlei Chancen als möglicher Love Interests bekommt. Und auch Elaras Mutter flirtet wie der Teufel und der MC scheint auch nicht abgeneigt zu sein, so dass in einem die Hoffnung keimt, eventuell im späteren Verlauf auch hier erfolgreich sein zu können, aber das Spiel ist vorher zu Ende. Es gibt zwar auch vorzeitige Spielenden, meine 100 Minuten sind aber für Erreichen des optimalen Endes drauf gegangen, mir fehlen jetzt auch nur noch drei Errungenschaften. Nichtsdestotrotz ist das Spiel nicht übel. Der Startscreen ließ auf eine Mischung von Gladiator und Spartakus schließen, weil es den MC als Gladiator in der Arena zeigt, obwohl die Einführung davon spricht, dass er ein römischer General ist. Ja, die Szene vom Spielmenü selbst taucht aber letztendlich im Spiel nicht auf, obwohl hier der Sohn des Kaisers eine falsche Schlange ist und versucht, dem MC das Leben schwer zu machen. Kann ich das Spiel empfehlen? Mit Einschränkungen, die verwendeten Modelle erscheinen mir doch recht unverbraucht, einige der kurzen Animation sind gelungen, die Geschichte selbst zwar nicht originell aber stimmig, nur die Zeit, welche man mit den Charakteren verbringt, ist viel zu kurz, man kann im Prinzip keine emotionale Bindung aufbauen, weil die Zeitspanne gerade mal drei bis vier Tage umfasst, wenn man mal vom Zeitsprung über mehrere Monate ganz am Anfang und später bei einer einzelnen Rückblende absieht. Wenn man sich bewusst ist, dass man hier relativ wenig Spiel für doch schon relativ viel Geld bekommt, und es einen nicht stört.... zugreifen. Für mich persönlich hätte das Spiel eigentlich mindestens 4-5 Stunden Inhalt bieten müssen. Das Potential wäre da gewesen, der Story selbst hätte es auch nicht geschadet, mehr ins Detail zu gehen, denn sie ist quasi vorbei, bevor der Spannungsbogen seinen Höhepunkt erreichen konnte.

The story is good, but there are so many spelling and grammar mistakes. Confusing at times with so many. They give you an option to change names in the character page. But when you try you will get error pages, except Ovidius'. Even if you do change it, it doesn't matter. They still call you, and your name doesn't change from, Ovidius. Other scene and page errors are found throughout the game as well. The worst offense of this is when the servant makes her way to the princess' chamber, after you choose to spend the night with her. Every page of her journey and conversation has errors. Right up til the time she gets you to leave and go back to your apartment. Now, the artistry/graphics are really poor as well. For a game that came out April 1 2025, it's really bad. This crap looks like it was coded with 2002 software. It's really poor quality. I just wish that the graphics were better, and the storyline mistakes weren't there. Then this would be a better than average game. I will have to say that only 2 of the women we ugly. But not as offensive as a lot of the other AVNs. I'm also glad that the MC didn't have a stupid broccoli cut or Bieber cut hairdo. He actually looked like me when I was 30. LoL Story was really short though. Each 'Act' was by the day. And I got through it in less than 3hrs, without skipping. And also trying to find a way to get past the full blown error scene. Obviously, this is this Dev's first AVN attempt. Sorry, but you need to find a different profession, because this isn't it. It's an obvious fail, with major flaws in the coding. If you don't want to waste your $ on a broken game, don't get this. There's so many other AVNs out there with better graphics, no errors, and better stories even.

This game exceeded my expectations in every way. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is smooth and engaging, and the attention to detail is impressive.

Well I loved it. Looking forward to the next episode. Princess Celsa is a slow burn but stunning.

Good work for a new Dev. Excellent scenes with alternate views and zoom. Solid story with potential for greater chapters in the future. The writing needs polishing but I;ll buy the next update for sure!

I likes the game. roman theme is cool and the girls are pretty. Story got me curious ngl. I just wish it was longer. waiting for dlc or something. Dev pls give us more content.
