Opus Cortex: A Nonogram Puzzle Story

Might be the most challenging game of it's kind I've ever faced. I also like how the nonograms are intregrated themselves into the story.

Very engaging and fun game with tons of interesting puzzles. Watching a picture slowly emerge as I solve each part is incredibly satisfying. It’s both relaxing and mentally stimulating—perfect for small break during the day. Highly recommended for fans of logic puzzles, or anyone looking for a calm, thoughtful way to pass the time.

I love nonograms and have played a lot of them, both digital and paper-based. I got this because there's a bit of a story in it and I prefer nonogram games with story, but goodness, the inability to cross any number in the row or column when you're done with it makes this really painful to do. For example, there is a line of seven 1s. You already marked a 1 on one of the edges. Other games would have crossed out the 1 on the edge so you know what's next (and if you play a paper-based one, you would have crossed it yourself), but not this one, so at all times you have to keep track of where you're up to. It's especially annoying when it gets to the bigger puzzles. If you're thinking of getting this for the nonogram, don't. I would not recommend this.

i love it when nonograms /picross games have a story, it makes more enjoyable and feel more like I accomplished something , which this games does well .some the end game puzzles were quite hard at first ,but the developer listened to feedback for various things so by the time i got back to it later is was changed/fixed and i was able to finish the game.

It was my first time playing a nonogram-type game, and it was really fun! I definitely recommend it.

A fairly short game, taking roughly 4hrs to complete from start to finish. The puzzles themselves are pretty bad, but I really enjoyed the story and the way the levels were presented. The puzzles were integrated into the story, in a way I haven't encountered in many "story & puzzle" games. I found the story interesting, and would have loved to see a more fleshed out ending. It starts off as a mystery, but once you find out what's happening, the story just sort of gets dismissed and has the ending you would expect. Back to the puzzles and why they kind of suck: - There is no penalty for clicking the wrong square, which you'd think would make it easier but it doesn't, because it means there's no indication when you make a mistake. - There's also no way to check if you're right as you go. Some games have "check if correct" buttons, or hint buttons... this one has nothing. - There are several puzzles where you need to guess, sometimes a large portion of a puzzle requires guesswork, because multiple squares could fit the number clues. I had to use a guide for a few of the later puzzles as I found them impossible without it. - The number clues don't change in any way as you go along, making it hard to keep track of which ones you've completed (until you've completed an entire row/column). But I really really liked the way the story was integrated, and was genuinely curious to find out what happened next. So I'm still recommending this, even if the puzzle aspect of the game is less than ideal.

A couple puzzles can’t be solved without guessing, and also exiting a puzzle in the middle of it causes it to be cleared completely, without any warning! Also the game sometimes crashes and forgets your progress, I had to restart a (big) puzzle I had finished :(. Still recommending the game because I enjoyed it overall, but you have to keep these issues in mind.
