About

Be sure to join the OPERATOR Discord server to keep up with the latest news, squad up with fellow operators, and have fun!
In OPERATOR, you will play as an elite Tier 1 operator undergoing dangerous clandestine operations all across the globe. With a strategic, measured, and unforgiving style of gameplay. OPERATOR aims to be the ultimate tactical shooter with total realism in mind. Featuring realistic weapon handling, ballistics, injury, gore, and active ragdolls.
In OPERATOR, what you see is what you get... literally. We’ve redefined first-person gameplay by ensuring the first-person perspective is seamlessly connected to your character in the world. Unlike traditional FPS games, where floating viewmodels represent your hands and weapons, OPERATOR renders your character’s full body in the first-person view. Every movement, every action, and every detail you see is exactly as it would appear to any other player in the environment. Leaning around a corner or aiming your weapon feels natural because it’s not an isolated animation—it’s procedural, simulating your character moving in the world. Physically Interacting with doors, your weapons occupying realistic space, you need to take every small detail into consideration when operating downrange.
OPERATOR also has a fully in-depth and unique adjustable crouch, lean and stance system. Using your mouse to finely control the exact angle you need. No more over lean or over crouching, the perfect angle is in your grasp. In addition to this we have implemented a high and low ready system for your firearms to rest your arm stamina and to avoid flagging fellow operators in the field. With in depth weapon collision systems, variable movement speed, manual operation of firearms, shoulder tapping, physical door interactions and plently more fine details OPERATOR has many unique and innovative mechanics not seen in any other tactical shooter.
When operating downrange, you’re just one cog in a machine. Work with your fellow operators to achieve mission success all over the globe. Your success hinges on seamless coordination and communication, from urban close-quarters combat to wide-open terrain in hostile environments, teamwork is the key to survival and victory.
Your weapon isn’t just a tool—it’s a reflection of the way you operate.
Use a wide range of weapon attachments to personalize your firearm and tune it to whatever your mission might require. Strip the gun down to the receiver and build it from the ground up. No limitations. You define what's tactical.
The battlefield is in your hands. Use the environment to your advantage, along with a diverse range of special purpose tools and assets, such as tactical grenades, battering rams, hammers, and an ISR feed with thermal imagery continuously informing you on the atmospherics inside your Area of Operations.
The laptop located in the armory is where you plan out and execute your missions, offering full control over your missions and tactical planning. From here, you can select active operations or dive into simulation mode to refine your skills.
Choose from a variety of high-stakes, real-world missions around the globe. Use pre-gathered intelligence to influence your planning, and get a full picture of the area of operation. Decide on your ingress specifics, including the time of day and infiltration point, ensuring you have the perfect setup for your team’s strategy.
After completing every operation you can choose to replay them using the simulation mode in the tactical operations hub. This mode also allows you to change the parameters of the mission including enemy count, enemy difficulty and more.
Also under the simulations category are the PVP “Force on Force” game modes, where you can fight your friends in multiple different settings. Being both casual and competitive it can deliver a whole other perspective of being an operator.
Dive into the PvP modes, where every match is fast, intense, and tactical. Team Deathmatch rewards cooperation and strategy, while Free-for-All puts your individual skills to the test. With fluid mechanics and dynamic maps, OPERATOR offers both casual fun and competitive thrills, ensuring every match is a high-stakes challenge.
Refine your skills at the shooting range including a fully randomised shoot house. Randomising the layout and targets active including non targets. With a built in timer and history of previous runs you can see yourself improve in real time.

Ai has too much health. Game is alright, but the fact that i can put three to five rounds into them and i cant shoot through a wooden fence and all it takes is one shot from them in the chest to kill me is absolutely bonkers. Game could be great but has the same issue with ai that RON has.
I have not had a milsim/tactical shooter be this much fun, especially this early in development, in years. Really looking forward to where this game goes. Highly recommend to anybody that enjoys games in this genre. Challenging, but not difficult to learn & improve. AI is a little wonky, but still very dangerous compared to typical NPC scripting you see even in AAA games. Worth the money 100%.

Takes a bit to get used to, but once you do, it's quite enjoyable and extremely immersive. I wish there were more missions but as it stands it's a very solid game for the asking price, and the amount of content in the game at the time of this review is sufficient to justify the purchase.
Recommended I went into OPERATOR not really knowing what to expect, and after spending time with it today, I’m impressed. The biggest thing this game gets right is the feeling of actually preparing for an operation. I spent time building out my rifle, choosing a suppressor, optic, ammo, magazines, night vision, laser, flashlight, medical gear, and then going into a mission where I actually had to think about what I was doing. The weapon customization is one of my favorite parts of the game. It’s not just “pick assault rifle and spawn.” You can really build the weapon around the mission. Running a suppressed rifle with night vision during a 4:00 AM operation feels completely different from going in during daylight. The medical system also surprised me. When I got shot, I couldn’t just hide behind a wall for five seconds and magically heal. I had to figure out where I was hit, stop the bleeding, use a tourniquet, hemostatic treatment, bandages, and actually pay attention to my condition. I even died while trying to treat myself, which made me realize how unforgiving the game can be. I also really like that the missions don’t cover the screen in giant objective markers. You get a briefing, insertion point, target location, and then you have to actually navigate and figure things out yourself. That can be confusing at first, but once you understand what the game is trying to do, it makes the missions feel much more tactical. What I like: Excellent weapon customization Suppressors, lasers, flashlights, NVGs and different optics actually matter Good sniper/DMR gameplay Tactical night operations are awesome Detailed medical/injury system You actually have to prepare before deploying Missions feel dangerous instead of arcade-like Gunplay has weight Lots of potential for recon and slower tactical gameplay Gear customization is deeper than I expected What I don’t like: The game explains almost nothing to new players Controls can be confusing Finding basic things like inventory, night vision, fire mode, grenades and flashlight controls shouldn’t require searching online Mission navigation can be confusing at first The UI needs clearer information about magazines, equipment and what you currently have equipped Some systems feel unfinished It needs more missions, larger areas and more content I would love stronger AI, more tactical options, and more ways to approach objectives Even with those negatives, I’m having a good time with it. OPERATOR feels like a game made for people who want to slow down, customize their equipment, plan their approach, clear buildings carefully, use night vision, treat injuries, and actually feel like they’re conducting an operation instead of playing another run-and-gun shooter. It still has a lot of room to grow, but the foundation is very strong. Today I’d give it an 8.5/10. If the developers keep improving the AI, adding bigger maps, more missions, more gear and deeper tactical systems, this could become one of the better tactical shooters on Steam.
Love this game but would like the developer team grow so they could make more content faster. I love the CQB aspect of the game but genuinely wish there were more maps for CQB
