Is this a bad golfing game? No. It's not bad. I might even say it's alright. However, when you compare it to the average VR golfing or mini golf game, then this is where this game just comes out near the bottom. The reason for that is because the game design is not a good concept. It leads to uninspired gameplay and bland mini golf courses.
You basically have 3 hearts to complete 3 hole in one mini-golf courses for each stage. So technically you can miss twice on any given hole in one golf course. However, you basically have to make hole in ones for the other two golf courses. So every swing matters. You really can't afford to lose a heart because then the pressure will be on for the stage three golf course, if you can get there. If you do happen to beat the three courses, then you're on to the next stage with full health.
The problem is this leads to mini-golf courses where the only challenge is getting around barriers. While the physics is okay, it can be tricky to get the golf ball to correctly go along the right path after colliding with a barrier. If the ball goes out of bounds, it doesn't count as a swing. There's just not much to this mechanic. Often, I just felt like I got lucky getting around some of those barriers. It was more like pool than like golf, but not in a good way. Pool with inconsistent angle shots.
So I just can't recommend this game. The visuals & music aren't great either. I would recommend playing Golf+, Walkabout Mini Golf VR, Cloudlands, Dream Golf VR, Adventure Golf VR, Infinite Mini Golf, Tee Time Golf, or Golf It. This is near the bottom of VR Golf games, but probably better than Everyday Golf VR (since that crashes at start up now).
