“One Line: Letters and Codes” is a slightly more polished version of the original “One Line”. It has slightly different special fields than the original, and is also a bit shorter (30 levels instead of the original’s 40 levels). If you enjoyed “One Line”, then you’ll also enjoy “One Line: Letters and Codes”. The game’s gimmick is a letter whose words need to be unlocked by solving the levels. This mechanic doesn’t really add anything to the levels themselves, but it adds a nice overall touch to the game. Like with the original “One Line” I solved most of the levels by first taking a screenshot of the level and then scribbling over it in a drawing program, separating the parts of the level that are logically deducible from those that rely on guessing and intuition. Just like with the original, this made the game pretty doable.
ótimo jogo pra passar o tempo.
Relatively simple and short line drawing puzzle game. It is fine for what it is. Score: 5/9
Yeah this puzzle game spoils its own solutions
By saying this I mean not a ‘hint’ system, as the devs suggested…You will get the answers whether you want it or not. The game will lock every 10 puzzles until the player ‘decodes’ the letter with all the solutions got so far. The pieces in the letter don’t go by the order. You are bound to get spoiled. The achievements also contain a few of them pretty patterns, but the achievements are not hidden; they are visible in the library page without even opening the achievements folder. The game itself is good. The said issue is just too bad for a puzzle game.

Sequel to One Line - draw a path through the grid, following various rules. As a puzzle sequel, it's passable - I didn't think the puzzles were as tricky as the first game and there are only 40 levels instead of 50. But for 89p, I can't say I was ripped off. The extra gimmick of this one - decode a letter you've been sent - was an annoying waste of time though. After you've solved ten levels, click on the missing words in the letter and get shown a pattern, which you then match to the solutions of the grids you've just done. Since some of the grids have multiple solutions, the patterns shown may not match what you found, but it's just click the one that looks the same. The patterns don't have any meaning, it's just 'Here's a shape, find the one that looks the same.' It's not a code, it's putting the shape in the hole like you did when you were in kindergarten. And the reveal at the end was obvious from the start. The whole thing just got in the way of the game for no good reason. Also, the way it works means that you can see the solutions before you play the levels. As I say, for the price, it's fine. I would just honestly have enjoyed it more if they had just stuck to the basic puzzle and not bothered with the extra bit.
