A simple viisual novel with a lousy stroy. Forget.
Хорошая, мистическая ВН'ка. Приятная рисовка, музыка могла быть поразнообразнее и последняя глава оказалось банальшиной, но в целом потраченного времени не жаль.
One Day in London is a story-rich visual novel that combines supernatural horror, detective fiction, and historical fantasy into a compelling interactive adventure. Developed and published by Owl Studio, the game transports players to Victorian England, where ancient myths, occult rituals, and hidden conspiracies lurk beneath the elegance of London's high society. You assume the role of an aristocrat whose fascination with the paranormal unexpectedly draws him into a dangerous secret organization, setting the stage for an adventure filled with mystery, betrayal, and difficult choices. The premise immediately captures attention by blending authentic historical atmosphere with dark fantasy, creating a world that feels both familiar and unsettling. The narrative is unquestionably the game's greatest strength. Rather than presenting a linear story, One Day in London thrives on player agency by allowing decisions to shape conversations, relationships, investigations, and ultimately the fate of its characters. Every choice feels meaningful, encouraging players to think carefully before committing to a particular course of action. This branching structure also gives the game considerable replay value, as different decisions unlock alternate scenes, unique story developments, and multiple endings. Instead of simply revisiting the same events, each playthrough has the potential to reveal hidden perspectives and new pieces of the larger mystery, rewarding players who enjoy exploring every narrative possibility. The setting plays a major role in establishing the game's identity. Victorian London is portrayed as a city where science, superstition, and secret societies exist side by side. As the story unfolds, mysterious murders, forgotten legends, magical rituals, and supernatural entities gradually become intertwined with the protagonist's personal journey. The game carefully builds suspense, introducing clues at a steady pace while withholding key revelations until the right moments. Along the way, players encounter a cast of memorable characters, including allies with uncertain motives and enigmatic figures whose pasts conceal important truths. The interactions between these characters help maintain emotional investment while adding depth to the central mystery. Although One Day in London is primarily a visual novel, it incorporates several gameplay elements that prevent the experience from becoming entirely passive. Players will encounter puzzles, investigation sequences, hidden-object challenges, magical rituals, and small interactive activities that complement the storytelling. These moments provide welcome variety between lengthy dialogue scenes and reinforce the feeling that players are actively participating in the investigation rather than simply reading through it. The game also includes an accessible save system that makes experimenting with alternate decisions far less tedious, allowing players to revisit important moments without restarting the entire adventure. Presentation is another area where the game performs well. The hand-crafted artwork successfully captures both the beauty and darkness of Victorian London, with detailed backgrounds, expressive character portraits, and eerie supernatural imagery that strengthen the gothic atmosphere. Animated scenes and visual effects give important moments additional impact, while the soundtrack enhances both suspenseful investigations and emotional conversations. The combination of visuals and music consistently supports the storytelling, creating an immersive environment that keeps players invested throughout the adventure. One aspect prospective players should keep in mind is that the base game serves as the opening portion of a larger narrative, with later chapters released separately as downloadable content. While the initial chapters establish the characters, setting, and central conflict effectively, those seeking a completely self-contained story may be disappointed that the broader narrative continues beyond the base game. Even so, the opening chapters provide enough intriguing mysteries and satisfying character development to justify continuing the journey, especially for players who become invested in uncovering the truth behind London's supernatural secrets. The pacing occasionally slows due to lengthy dialogue and extensive exposition, which is common within the visual novel genre. Players who prefer constant action may find certain conversations overly detailed, while completionists should be prepared to revisit familiar scenes when pursuing every branching path. Fortunately, the quality of the writing, the engaging world-building, and the consistently intriguing mystery help offset these slower moments, making the overall experience rewarding for those who appreciate narrative-focused adventures. Overall, One Day in London successfully blends historical fiction, supernatural suspense, and interactive storytelling into a memorable visual novel. Its emphasis on meaningful choices, multiple endings, engaging investigations, atmospheric presentation, and rich Victorian setting creates an experience that stands above many conventional visual novels. While the chapter-based structure and slower pacing may not appeal to every player, fans of mystery, occult fiction, and branching narratives will find plenty to enjoy. Owl Studio delivers a captivating opening to an ambitious supernatural saga that encourages exploration, rewards curiosity, and leaves players eager to uncover every secret hidden within London's shadowy streets. Really enjoyed this one. Essentially an interactive Novel this is an excellent game for the casual person who wants to sit back, relax and enjoy a great story line. There are a few puzzles to make it interesting; albeit they are quite easy to finish. Choices you make during the game do decide the outcome in the near future and the end game itself. Enjoy!
Still one of my favorite visual novels, with all its twists and turns.
great
Закрученный мистический сюжет в стиле Портрета Дориана Грея , но лучше!
Well, it's actually beautiful visual novel. The background and characters so delicious so I wanna eat they right now. Oh, and I wanna date with Garry. It all. Recommend this game. It's worth the money.
