Omno: Prologue

Depuis sa sortie en version complète, [i]Omno[/i] est devenu un des jeux populaires de cet été 2021. Comme je ne l’ai pas encore glissé dans ma bibliothèque, j’ai jeté un œil à ce prologue gratuit. Pendant environ une quinzaine de minutes (mais on peut librement prolonger le plaisir indéfiniment à la fin), on s’approprie intuitivement un gameplay grâce auquel se déplacer de diverses manières est déjà amusant en soi, même si rien n’est véritablement révolutionnaire. On évolue dans un joli décor qui invite à l’exploration pour découvrir la faune locale et de nouveaux mécanismes et voilà qu’on collecte des trucs et active des machins pour découvrir où tout ça va nous emmener. C'est déjà un travail assez impressionnant pour un jeu réalisé pratiquement entièrement par une seule personne mais c’est évidemment sur la longueur qu’il faut vérifier si tout cela fonctionne encore et c’est bien pour ça que je vais particulièrement surveiller le jeu pendant les soldes.

A relaxed puzzle platformer with a beautiful aesthetic and a gorgeous soundtrack. Character is nice to control and has a real fluidity of movement. The world is gorgeous to look at, and the flora and fauna are fun to interact with. I'm always a sucker for giant flying manta whales and some desert sand surfing. A good subtitle for the game would be: Journey Beyond Good and Evil. These are two influences that I felt were apparent while playing and what a wonderful combination that seems to me. I am purchasing the full game AND soundtrack on the basis of the half hour I spent in the prologue. Yeah I'd say that's a recommend.

Вечно эти демки обрываются на самом интересном месте, оставляя после себя только недоумение и легкий зуд в кошельке - мол, ну купи уже полную версию, не будь жмотом, а вдруг там дальше шедевр в который я не поиграю... Игра не работает, вылеты на вылете. Я действительно пытался это запустить. Мимо.

Delicious, finally some good f****** demo seriously, I bet I'm gonna enjoy the sh*t out of the full game.

I got the impression from the name and description that this was something separate not included in the main-game. However it is just a demo version of the game's second level. Wouldn't say you need to play this, go to the main game!
