About
This relaxing idle city builder lets you create the city of your dreams, with a cartoonish touch focused on the interaction of its inhabitants, making your city feel truly alive. Perfect if you’re tired of static, gray, hyper-realistic megapolis.
Like in other games of the genre, you can construct buildings and roads, always keeping in mind that money is your main limiting resource.
As a good mayor, you must provide for your citizens needs: food, health, energy, security, goods, and sanitation.
At the beginning, you’ll only have a handful of houses. Progress will unlock more buildings, collectible characters, and achievements that add challenges, collect them all and you’ll earn a special reward.
Beyond internal chaos, your city will also face strange and chaotic events: aliens, robberies, epidemics, zombies, and much more. Prepare your city to withstand them!
4 biomes: plains, desert, snowy, and rocky.
56 unlockable buildings to discover.
5 resources: money, energy, food, minerals, and goods (import/export).
84 collectible characters with unique behaviors.
4 socioeconomic classes: poor, middle, burgher, and rich.
13 citizen types (the game distinguishes between citizens and workers).
20 special and bizarre events, including zombies.
9 flying machines to connect your city to the world.
8 deities/religions to choose from.
7 scientific researches with varied effects.
8 political alignments that influence social dynamics.
6 protests: food, goods, energy, health, security, and sanitation.
7 massive events where citizens gather in crowds.
9 unlockable cheats to play in god mode.
30 achievements that challenge you and unlock cheats.
24 slots on the world map to save your games.
4 music stations/genres: rock, pop, latin, jazz.
4 animals, reforesting forests, rain, and hurricanes.
4 diseases, hunger, socialization, violence, and reproduction.
4 types of criminals: thief, psychopath, terrorist, and mafioso.
3 life stages: childhood, adulthood, and old age.
1 urban transport system and roads as grid-based graphs.
6 automatic camera modes for relaxed city viewing.
Various administrative actions, like commanding workers.
Daily and yearly graphs to view diverse statistics.
Save screenshots of your whole city or the screen.
Tutorial book, keyboard shortcuts, and tooltips.
7 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch.
Although it looks like a realistic simulation, it’s actually closer to the logic of board games. For example, each house generates an exact number of inhabitants rather than relying on a life-and-death cycle.
This is a relaxing sandbox: you won’t lose if you go grab a sandwich while your citizens protest. The fun is in unlocking and discovering more options that expand your creative freedom.
Original languages are English and Spanish, the rest were translated automatically.
Although it’s not in Early Access, since it’s already a mature product, feel free to suggest improvements or report any potential bugs on the Discord server.
This is a remake of Omicrocity 1, originally created in 2016. That version can still be played for free, although it has many design flaws.
CONCLUSION

[th]
Sigueme como mentor:
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45035031/ [/th]

Played the original one years ago. Still one of my favorite city builders because I love seeing all the different little guys you unlock experimenting with buildings and events. I give it 10/10

Omicrocity 2 is a city-building simulation developed and published by Omwekiatl that favors creativity and accessibility over demanding realism. Instead of focusing on hyper-detailed urban planning, the game presents a colorful sandbox where players can build thriving communities with their own identities and philosophies. Its lighthearted visual style immediately creates a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to settle into the experience whether you are an experienced city-builder fan or someone exploring the genre for the first time. The game's core appeal lies in giving players the freedom to shape cities around different themes, from environmentally conscious societies and technologically advanced metropolises to mystical settlements or military-focused civilizations, encouraging experimentation rather than strict optimization. The management systems provide enough depth to remain engaging without becoming intimidating. As the settlement expands, new buildings, services, and production chains gradually become available, rewarding steady progression with additional strategic choices. Players must oversee housing, food production, utilities, public services, commerce, and resource distribution while ensuring that residents have access to healthcare, security, sanitation, and entertainment. Every decision contributes to the city's long-term success, and although finances remain an important factor, the game rarely punishes experimentation harshly. This forgiving design allows players to learn naturally while continuously refining the layout and efficiency of their communities. A major strength of Omicrocity 2 is the impressive variety of gameplay systems packed into its compact presentation. Multiple environments offer different settings for construction, while dozens of buildings and a large cast of unique citizens bring each city to life. The population evolves over time through aging, family growth, employment, education, and social interaction, creating a community that feels active rather than static. Political beliefs, religious influences, scientific development, social classes, and public opinion all have an impact on how the city evolves, making every settlement feel distinct. These interconnected systems provide enough complexity to keep players invested without overwhelming them with unnecessary micromanagement. Unexpected events ensure that cities remain lively throughout extended play sessions. Natural disasters, health crises, criminal activity, alien encounters, and even zombie invasions can suddenly disrupt daily life, forcing players to adapt and respond to changing circumstances. These surprises add welcome variety without making the experience frustrating, since the game consistently maintains its relaxed tone. Additional features such as achievements, multiple save slots, unlockable cheats, detailed statistics, automated camera modes, and customizable difficulty settings further increase replay value by encouraging players to revisit the game with new approaches and city designs. The presentation complements the gameplay well. The stylized graphics may not aim for realism, but they succeed in creating an attractive miniature world filled with personality. Citizens move through the streets with lively animations, buildings are colorful and distinctive, and the soundtrack offers enough variety to make long building sessions enjoyable. Watching neighborhoods gradually expand into bustling cities becomes one of the game's greatest pleasures, especially thanks to camera options that allow players to simply observe everyday life unfold. The accessible interface and clear tutorials also help reduce the learning curve, making the game approachable without sacrificing meaningful management mechanics. While Omicrocity 2 does not attempt to compete with the most realistic or technically demanding city simulators, that is ultimately part of its appeal. It embraces a more casual philosophy that values imagination, experimentation, and player freedom over exhaustive simulation. Those looking for highly detailed economic modeling or advanced infrastructure systems may find its mechanics somewhat simplified, but players seeking an enjoyable sandbox with plenty of content and personality will likely appreciate its balanced approach. By blending charming visuals, varied gameplay systems, creative customization, and a relaxed progression structure, Omicrocity 2 delivers an entertaining city-building experience that remains engaging across many hours of play. Rating: 7/10
A charming, fun and strange little game. More of a "soft" city builder where the focus is on watching and following your little citzen lives.
