About
What happens when a charmingly quirky AI made in the 90's helps you build a puzzle game? You get Omi Oh My AI!
Embark on a captchavating adventure featuring over 300 image, word, and number puzzles modeled after the digital hoops we jump through every day. Inspired by the "proof-of-humanity" era and classic ARGs like I Love Bees.
AI doesn’t see the world like we do, especially not Omi. Developed in Western Australia throughout the 90's and 2000's, Omi has an especially unique perspective, and you'll need to understand it to progress! Is a reflection of a dog still a dog? When is a cinnamon roll not a cinnamon roll? Is this a bug or a feature?
When the puzzles get strange, the answers won't be found in a menu. To see the world through Omi's eyes you’ll need to take your quest to the World Wide Web, scouring real websites and digital relics of a bygone era to uncover the mysteries of Omi’s development.
Omi wouldn't exist without the talented humans that helped to make them a reality. Every photograph, asset, and line of code was created by talented humans to tell a story about an AI with remarkably human faults.
Developed with support from Screenwest in Western Australia on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar.

2026 edit part 2: Game has softlocked me and then the fix accidentally wiped my save. Will restart and see if I like the rest of the game lol! 2026 edit: NEW UPDATE WE'RE SO BACK WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ I GOTTA PLAY THIS I'LL EDIT MY REVIEW SOON!!!!! 2025 edit: the game has not had an update since my review. Act 2 never happened. dev is MIA. game would be worth ~5 dollars at this point, but the story does not have a satisfying ending, and just stops abruptly. Such a shame. Do not buy. old 2022 review: Proud to be the first review of this game, and possibly the first player. this game is amazing, and I absolutely love it. At the end of act 1, waiting for the next act to be released. I don't want to spoil anything, but the soundtrack is amazing. Play. This. Game. I know it doesn't look like much. it isn't in all honesty, but if you're like me, you will love this little game. Solve CAPTCHAs, befriend AI doggo! Omi believes in you! Anyone reading this review, please tag the game "CAPTCHA Simulator" as it would be quite funny to start a new genre tag :)
Omi Oh My, Oh Man! What a game. I knew what to expect, but didn't know what I was in for. It is so wholesome and just... just play it, you won't regret it. It's very Pony Island and Hypnospace Outlaw. So if you love those, you'll love this!
Overall this was a really interesting and enjoyable game, and I do recommend it for people who like puzzles and logic games! That said I did run into a couple of issues while playing that people might want to hear: Firstly I had an issue early on where the game closed itself (not inherently a problem but) I realised it had wiped all of my progress. Thankfully I wasn't that far into the game at that stage, but I also opened it back up after the credits to check something and it once again had been reset. I don't know if this is just a problem with my Steam specifically trying to access the save file, but if I hadn't already committed to playing it all in one, I would have been incredibly frustrated upon returning to the game and seeing I'd lost all my progress. There are even specific points that the game says it's saving your progress, so I don't think this is an intentional feature (and if it is, I didn't see it stated anywhere) There also were a few puzzles that we found genuinely impossible to solve. Thankfully, there is a way to get around this, but I and the handful of people helping me were (as far as we could tell) following all of the rules and logic that the game had set out for us and could not come to a solution. I don't mind a difficult puzzle, and I liked the logic behind all the puzzles, but whether it's a bug or some missing piece of information or just a drastically steep ramp up in difficulty that is out of place with the rest of the game, there were a couple of puzzles that were just unsolvable, and the frustration of doing that really took away from the experience (especially because as mentioned, I ended up having to do it all in one go) Like I said, overall I did really enjoy the game and I do recommend it, but these couple of things did kinda of taint the overall experience for me a little, and future players might want to keep those things in mind! edit to add: I forgot to mention but as of Feb 3rd (the day I played and am writing this), it seems like the achievements might be broken, because there's definitely some that I would have gotten (eg for completing the first chapter [I finished the game]) but Steam says I have zero. I don't mind this personally, I wasn't planning on achievement hunting this one anyway, but something else to keep in mind!
A chill puzzler with fun writing and a nice soundtrack. Recommended for fans of Frog Fractions and Hypnospace Outlaw.
Charming little puzzle game
Interesting little puzzle game, really want to see where this one goes in the future. A little too focused on dogs. I prefer cats. Why is this game so anti-cat and pro-dog?
This is indeed a game. Encountered a few bugs with it not proceeding after getting the correct answer, but restarting the game resolved the issue. -Gifted to me by Lefan Lefan is annoyed that I mentioned that they gifted it to me. So mission success?
this is dog propaganda 🗣️
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ I might be stuck on puzzle 113 with the console command but I like it so far https://youtu.be/rK3AWKokD2o
game is fun, so far. a bit buggy, and b/c of the game's theme it's sometimes hard to tell what's intentional and when the game has just broken, but overall, i'm having a good time. I'm a bit stuck in act 2 due to the game deleting desktop icons on game exit and me having not recorded some info from a previous level..... which feels unfair, but i'm hoping a kind soul will record what i'm missing / dev fixes this issue soon..... fingers crossed. *somebody streamed, got the img i needed, but now i'm again stuck, unsure if my stuck is a glitch or not. what a game.
