난이도가 조금 있다 3ds로 재밌게 했던 기억이 있어서 구매했는데 3ds로 했어서 재밌었던 게임이 아닐까 싶다 지금 pc로 다시 하기에는 아쉬운 부분이 많음
OF MICE AND SAND -REVISED-, developed and published by ARC SYSTEM WORKS, is a distinctive blend of resource management, survival simulation, and light strategy that builds its identity around a simple but unusual premise. You guide a group of mice traveling across a vast desert aboard a mobile fortress, searching for a distant promised land while keeping their fragile ecosystem functioning. It’s a concept that initially feels whimsical, but the longer you play, the more it reveals itself as a methodical and system-driven experience that rewards careful planning and patience. The core of the game revolves around managing the interior of your moving sandship. Every room you construct serves a purpose, whether it’s producing food, refining materials, or crafting essential supplies. Each mouse can be assigned to specific roles based on their abilities, and maintaining a balanced workflow becomes critical as your operation expands. What begins as a small, manageable setup gradually evolves into a layered network of interconnected systems, where inefficiencies can quickly lead to shortages or stalled progress. There is a satisfying logic to optimizing these processes, and much of the enjoyment comes from refining your setup to run as smoothly as possible. Progression is closely tied to travel and resource gathering. As your sandship moves between destinations, your crew automatically collects materials from the environment, which are then used to sustain operations or create goods for trade. Settlements along the way provide opportunities to sell surplus items, acquire new resources, and unlock additional routes. This loop of movement, collection, and reinvestment forms the backbone of the experience, creating a steady rhythm that can feel both relaxing and engaging when everything is functioning efficiently. Visually, the game leans into a bright pixel-art style that contrasts nicely with the harshness of its desert setting. The mice are animated with small but expressive details that give them a sense of personality, and the overall presentation maintains a light, approachable tone. This charm helps soften the more demanding aspects of the gameplay, making it easier to settle into the slower pace. The audio complements this with a subdued soundtrack that reinforces the feeling of a long, steady journey rather than high-intensity action. However, the same systems that provide depth also contribute to the game’s most noticeable drawbacks. The pace can feel slow, particularly as the game progresses and tasks become more reliant on extended production chains and resource accumulation. Even with options to speed things up, there are moments where progress feels gated by time rather than decision-making. This can lead to repetition, as the core loop remains largely unchanged over extended sessions. For some players, this creates a calming, almost meditative experience, but for others, it may feel tedious. The interface and overall usability also present some challenges. Managing multiple systems at once requires navigating menus that are not always as intuitive as they could be, and understanding how different elements interact can take time. The learning curve is not necessarily steep, but it does demand a willingness to experiment and adapt, particularly in the early stages when the game’s systems are still being introduced. Narratively, the game remains minimal. While there is an overarching goal of reaching a distant destination, the story rarely takes center stage. Instead, the sense of progression comes from the journey itself and the gradual expansion of your capabilities. This approach works in supporting the gameplay, but it does leave the experience feeling somewhat lacking in emotional or narrative payoff, especially for players who prefer a stronger story-driven component. What ultimately defines OF MICE AND SAND -REVISED- is its balance between charm and repetition. It offers a unique take on resource management with a distinctive setting and a satisfying core loop, but it does not significantly evolve beyond its initial mechanics. The experience remains consistent from beginning to end, which can be either a strength or a limitation depending on player preference. In the end, it is a game that caters to a specific audience. Players who enjoy slow-paced management, optimization, and incremental progress will find plenty to appreciate in its systems and structure. Those looking for variety, narrative depth, or faster-paced gameplay may find it harder to stay engaged over time. It succeeds in delivering a focused and cohesive experience, even if it does not fully expand on its potential. Rating: 7/10
THIS GAME IS ADDICTIVELY GOOD You will loose yourself in hours of playing this game
最高のゲームだよ。
This was originally a 3ds eshop game, so I'm glad it was ported over, I would've never known it existed otherwise. This game goes on sale often! Usually it goes down to 3 usd, but I snagged it for 1! I find the 10$ price probably worth it though considering how much time I got out of it. Other reviews are right, it is very micromanagey, but I found that it toed the line between annoying and engaging personally. The only other game with automation that I've played is Rimworld; this is nothing like Rimworld, it's very simplified. I loved seeing new sights across the desert and slowly upgrading my ship. It was annoying that all your room upgrades disappear when you get a new ship, so keep that in mind. I did enjoy it a little as a challenge, building yourself back up and coming back stronger than before. Also autosaving! I love you autosaving <3 it's easy to savescum with it, which you'll probably want to do eventually! (note: events are determined when you leave a location, which is incidentally when your game saves) >:) Things I didn't like: The game crashes on nearly every achievement. Your mice sometimes will not prioritize driving and that ends up getting you sent back to the start + lose half your money. When sleepy + hungry, mice will go back and forth between food and bed before settling on food (I think this hurts their hp), sometimes they'll get stuck going to the infirmary repeatedly instead. Mice will eat rare food items that are very hard to obtain if you run out of normal food (seeds + natural cheese + canned food). They also appear to eat larvae and cotton? I'm trying to do the 128 mice achievement but my resources keep disappearing... Two tips I have are: I thought I had to manually heal each mouse individually, it can actually be automated like other tasks. If you decide to fight them, you want to go overkill for the "bosses," use the best ammo you can afford, upgrade as much as you can and use what space you can (until you get the biggest ship in the epilogue). Mice only seem to breed when multiple are sleeping in the same bedroom, this is important for the 128 mice achievement. You need to make them tired if you want more.
良いゲームだしめちゃくちゃおもしろいけど進みが遅い
