Good collection of puzzles that are easy to understand, but progress with challenge through the campaign. Runs great on Linux.
The levels were fun and challenging with a good difficulty progression. I liked that new animals and objects brought variety and new challenges. Many levels look simple, but required out of the box thinking that thaught me lessons i needed later. Some are real head scratchers. The nature atmosphere sounds were very enjoyable and relaxing, a good mood to accompany the harder thinking. The visuals could do with a bit more variety on the maps, as they all look the same. If you enjoy puzzle games, you'll have a good time - otherwise probably not ;)
This is a good, turn-based puzzle game. Very player friendly with multiple undos so you can take your move(s) back at any time. Bonus levels and challenges are optional since the game mechanics are different to the main game. There are at least 15 hours of gameplay. If you attempt all the bonus levels then it will take even longer. Overall rating: 7/10.
Quick Description: -Of Mice and Moggies is a sokoban style puzzle game where your goal is to trap animals. It's a very cute and engaging puzzler that offers a good amount of mechanics and challenging levels. Every animal reacts differently to you approaching them. Some of my favorite puzzles will involve 3 or 4 different animal types. There usually appears to be a simple solution, but often it's a red herring as you realize you need to keep an animal around to help trap a different animal. Most of the puzzles are on the easy to moderate difficulty, w/ a small percentage of the levels being of higher difficulty. There is also 3 different Side Games that you can unlock that have leaderboards. Consensus: -Solid Game (Tier 3 and makes up 35% of my reviews). I really enjoyed my time w/ Of Mice and Moggies. It took me about 5 hrs to complete 100% of the game. I think that's great value for a $7 game that goes on sale several times a year. Headlong Hunt and Mooselutions are probably the two closest puzzle games on the market. Fans of cute, fun, and innovative puzzlers are in for a treat. Pick up this hidden gem and have a great time!
Potential is the key word for me when talking about this game. First of all I would like to recommend this game to casual puzzler fans because I think this is a good starting point for someone who is getting into this genre. Look it is not my cup of tea to be honest, good ideas but 95 % of the game is like a tutorial in learning the basics of the game. There is nothing wrong with that, I just found it too easy, there were 3 or 4 head scratchers and few brain freezes but that is all. I like the music and the art style, it is always clear what the goal is in each grid based soko-chase puzzle. The hub world or what ever you wanna call it is ok but zoomed out it looks like a mess so make sure to use scroll mouse button to zoom in. I don't think the mini games between the puzzles benefit this game at all, I don't like leader boards in general but mini games are optional so I guess you can just skip them. I din't skip snake mini game because I was enjoying how all the dogs follow the cat :) This is a casual puzzler that has so many clever ideas. Recommended for casual puzzler fans and people who are getting into this genre.
A very simple principle on the first view, but surprisingly challenging. Every little level has an optimal count of moves and it hits hard to find the best way to solve the level and get the cat fed. Great little game with lots of love and even well to get kids busy.
Really cute and clever puzzle game. Difficulty definitely ramps up quickly, I really enjoyed it and wish I had more time to put into it, hopefully I can come back to it!
小动物们太可爱了,好冲
Game never saved my data. Ever. All data is lost when restarting the game. Name entry also doesn’t work, it’s always a blank string. Almost impressive honestly
