Introduction

Odyssey is a story-driven space adventure for solo and multiplayer. Search for a new home for humanity while protecting your exploration ship. Scientists onboard carry Earth's last hope—its biodiversity. The fate of life itself is in your hands.
Step into the role of an explorer and take on various tasks aboard a spaceship, all set to an uplifting musical soundscape. Navigate asteroid fields, locate and use essential tools, and protect your ship from cosmic dangers. At the end of each session, review your performance and improve your personal or social score by playing again. This multi-modal experience blends gameplay with learning, featuring a voice-acted narrative and vibrant audio to share fascinating facts about space.

Up to three explorers can embark on a journey through a post-apocalyptic universe, where Earth is no longer habitable. As a crew member aboard a massive space station, you join a team of scientists searching for a new home. The station houses isolated ecosystem bubbles, preserving Earth's last surviving plants and animals. Your mission: protect these fragile ecosystems and uncover the answers that could save humanity. The future is in your hands.
Controls
The experience is playable on both a standard PC monitor and in Virtual Reality (tested with Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality, and HTC Vive). An in-game option allows you to switch between the two modes seamlessly.
For the best experience, headphones are highly recommended, as the game features a rich, bass-heavy musical soundscape. While fully functional in both modes, movement controls and user interactions may vary slightly between standard and VR gameplay.

Good concept just not done very well, scale seems out and has a very amateur feel to it. More of an experience than a game and at the price probably not worth it at this stage. I felt like I was I was a badly done b-grade movie from the 50s of what space travel in the future might be like. Half expected a giant robot named Robbie to start warning us of danger. Anyway, see how this progresses Pros Multi player with VR and desktop players Concept Cons Everything else at this stage.
Für mich ein Anwärter auf das schlechteste VR Spiel 2018! Absolut furchtbare Grafik, unglaublich langweilig und liebloses Design! Bloß die Finger davon lassen! Meine Kuratorseite: http://store.steampowered.com/curator/30155555 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvMJnX3OqXg
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
I have no idea how this "game" got this many positive reviews, but as you can see, the majority of them received a free Steam key. I actually got this game in a VR bundle so I guess I only paid about .50 cents for it and that's just about how much it is worth. No, it's not even worth that. If this were free, I might give it a 5/10 score. However, as a paid product that used to go for $13.99 USD, but now has lowered it's price to $4.99 USD, they need to go towards .99 cents. $5 USD is too much for this low quality product. This game is outdated. It makes the Unity Engine look really bad. Teleport only. For some reason, it only works with the left hand to teleport. For the most part, it's nodal teleportation, but there are very small areas where you can teleport freely where you'd like. There is no smooth or snap turning. The VOs are some of the worst I have ever heard. It sounds like they are recording on the mic from the original Oculus Rift. The visuals are almost as bad, with PS2 era graphics and bland environments. The scales also seem off. Interactions are absolutely atrocious. The gameplay consists of being told some emergency is happening around the ship and you just teleporting there and doing some very basic task. That includes head-gaze aiming at ugly looking asteroids coming towards your ship. Or pointing your motion controller at the "fires" with your fire extinguisher and putting out the fires. You start elevators by pointing your laser at them and then clicking. After about 15 minutes of this bland gameplay, I was happy when I failed and it was mission over. I can't wait to uninstall this game and never play it again. But hey, you don't have to take my word for it, you can choose to believe the positive reviews instead. Rate 3/10. Do NOT buy this game at any price.
If you found my review useful, please consider joining my Steam Curator Connect Group here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Oculus_WMR
The experience takes more than 20 minutes for sure - at least from me:) Also I got inspired somehow about the Mars invasion generally with this VR app and its post Earth theme. Also had to watch one series about Mars from Netflix and the movie "Martian":) Anyway, you'll face some challenges with the space shuttle (no spoilers here!) during the journey. But don't panic, with a common sense you'll survive. The controllers work pretty ok, I'm using HTC Vives with Windows 10, GTX970 graphics card. I have not tried the multiplayer mode yet.
I played this game in VR mode using the Oculus rift. It has both single player as well as a multiplayer element - which is great if you and your friends want to work together as a team. I was able to solo the content, but did fail the mission the first time around. The game is easy to navigate and fun to play. As a family gamer, I tend to look at games which my smaller children could play - and I am confident that the asteroid blasting is something they would love. The space walk element of the game was really immersive and I suffered no motion sickness whilst playing. Giving this game a high five! Can't wait to share this with the rest of the family.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own a Virtual Reality headset so I played this game on desktop. I think this concept is really cool, but there is not much gameplay yet. And I personally think that is what the developers should focus on. There were some bugs with the camera in multiplayer and the surround sounds but nothing gamebreaking. I liked the music of this game and and the backstory is interesting. Currently I would recommend this game to a person who just wants a short sci-fi adventure.
Really nice looking and well done game with MULTIPLAYER, which I know as indie developer is not easy to implement. I was especially blown away when I saw particle effects when shooting comets. Developer(s?) keep on going and making great stuff.
I enjoyed playing this game and I think and hope that VR games will attract more players as VR headsets become increasingly available. I liked the post-acopalyptic outer space theme, which is very current and continues to inspire people as we try to make a more sustainable world that can sustain life now and in the future. This game seemed to explore what could happen if people fail to do this. The asteriod scene was thrilling and several of the tasks onboard the ship explore everyday obstacles/situations that need to be resolved in challenging circumstances in space. All in all this was a very interesting indie game.
Tested the multiplayer and worked well with two players. However, you need to create a game first and then ask your friends to join or play a single player game.
It's OK, but it needs a lot of polishing. I didn't find how to change resolution. I didn't understand how to run. Level design is terrible. There are vast useless empty rooms, but you can teleport instantly. Even free Moonbase Alpha NASA game from 2010 was way better.
