Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

真希望有一个没玩过大陆的霸者的脑子,本来冲着新剧情来玩的,结果一看到权力、名声和财富的三穷极之人就很绝望,纯纯手游剧情的单机重制版。

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very disappointed by this game. There is a lot to appreciate in the first two games and I had a great time with them, it didn't feel like this entry measured up. The Issues: The Villains- The game has a much greater focus on the villains but the villain characters themselves are very weak characters. They are all insane psychopaths with no redeeming qualities or relatability. I have never found this kind of character interesting and having it be repeated makes it even more unlikeable. To me these characters were the biggest drag on the game, hard to keep playing with them being such an undeserved focus. The Combat- The moves are a bizarre mishmash. Lots of "Two strikes on random characters with chance of weakness effect,." Less AOE and clear attacks, it overcomplicates the battles and makes them less fun in my eyes. Characters: The core characters are fine and the city building they do together was actually my favorite part. The other members of the group are given no focus and with so many you don't know them well. The assisting NPC's are hard to get attached to given the sense that they could just be fodder to show more of how insane/terrible the villains are. Wish I could give it a better review but would recommend sticking with the first two games.
Played both OT1 and OT2 and this is a great addition to the line up. Runs at a smooth 60 with no problems on steam deck too 10/10 Story 10/10 Combat 11/10 Soundtrack 10/10 Banger Game Well worth the price. GOTY so far for me!
Hell yeah! This game (in my opinion) is better than the first and second game. I love everything about this. Character building, story, music and the feedback and Qol changes. I definitely no life this game, and it was worth it.
As a long-time fan of the Octopath Traveler series, I must issue a stern warning: this title is nothing short of "digital trash" that tarnishes the franchise's reputation. I have to say, the sheer lack of quality in this entry has completely drained my enthusiasm, leaving me with no interest or expectations for this gameplay style or the series moving forward. The gameplay and story are equally disappointing. By mid-game, the combat devolves into mindless stat inflation and tedious grinding, stripping away any sense of strategic satisfaction. The pacing of the animations is particularly infuriating: even when using the "skip" function, the game forces tedious fade-in/fade-out transitions for every minor mechanism, rendering the feature practically useless. Furthermore, with limited NPC interactions and a soundtrack that lacks a sense of cohesion—feeling more like a random collection of tracks from the first two games—the whole project feels like a low-effort port.
SPOILER WARNING: The following section contains major plot and ending spoilers.
While the narrative in the first half—culminating in the "Master of All" arc—was decent, the quality plummeted immediately after. The three dungeons preceding the finale were agonizingly long and repetitive, feeling like a deliberate attempt to disrespect the player's time. The most infuriating part was the ending; the final boss appeared out of thin air with zero buildup, leading to a climax that was both nonsensical and poorly executed. I forced myself to finish the game only because I value narrative closure, but I was rewarded with nothing but pure frustration. If you value your time and sanity, stay far away from this game and seek a refund immediately, won't recommend to anyone.
So far 73 hours in.... For any FF fan that is a fan before the FF7 and beyond titles... This title definitely scratches the itch for those FF's that we always wanted during that time. We do not care about the super crazy FMV's and junk. We just want expanded gameplay and systems.
