Enjoy familiar features such as the series' HD-2D graphics, a fusion of retro pixel art and 3DCG; the player's ability to roleplay using Path Actions of their choice; and the Break and Boost system that can turn the tide of battle. Additionally, brand-new features such as character creation and town building allow you to create your own character and restore your hometown.
You are the protagonist of the story. Choose your appearance, voice, motions, and favorite dish with the new character creation feature!
Restore your hometown through town building. Invite companions and allies to live in a town of your creation!
Engage in exhilarating and strategic command battles. Choose from over 30 allies to form a party comprised of up to eight characters!
Use Path Actions to invite people to your town, engage in battle, and obtain items. Where you go and what you do is entirely up to you.
Equip action skills with the new skill system. These skills can be learned by allies and passed on to others.

I love all of the Octopath Traveler games!! When you like a game series, the best part is that you are familiar with how the game is played and what it offers. The negative reviews are uncalled for. This game is so rich with characters! The building aspect is so much fun! I give it 5/5 stars!!
This is peak octopath. 80 jours ans wanted more.

Great game, if you like octopath you'll like this. Plus you get to build a town.
The game overstays its welcome, it is very long and not very rewarding for the length of time you spend playing it. The game only really feels like you have any form of character customisation when you get a certain unlock via story gated progression, but even then the pacing is very slow. The game would have been a lot better with a lot of the bloat removed and moving you through it faster. Combat enjoyability and pacing is unfortunately linked to the character customisatuion block, so again it takes a long time until it really feels like you are powerful from all the skill, leveling, and gear. Visually, it is either no better than Octopath Traveller 2 or a step back, I assume this relates to it's mobile roots. Performance is not the best, it is quit heavy for the visual presentation on offer.
I was hesitant to play this game because I read that it its a reworked mobile game. However, I was pleasantly surprised by it. I enjoyed every second of my 180h+. The combat is great, you don't need to grind, the freedom to change your skills is somewhat limited, but still really good. I highly recommend this title to people that like JRPGs in general, no just OT games.

옥토패스 1,2 다 구매했고 둘 다 너무 재미있게 플레이 했는데 스팀에 대륙의 패자가 나와서 정말 기쁘네요... 대륙의 패자는 모바일로 먼저 접했지만, 딱 파디스3세 이후 난이도가 높고 가챠 시스템이 힘들어서 그만두었는데 스팀 버전은 그런 걱정이 없어서 좋았습니다. 개인적으론 스토리도 만족스러워요. 정말 생각도 못한 반전을 접할때마다 머리가 띵했고, 진엔딩 조건 채워서 이벤트 진입할때마다 눈물이 펑펑 났네요. 어떤 인물의 타락에 타당성을 주기 위해서 채택한 소재가 1,2에서도 본적없는 수위라서 깜짝 놀라긴 했는데요. 그래서 오히려 완전히 몰입하게 됐던 것 같습니다. 옥토패스 트래블러 시리즈가 앞으로도 계속 나왔으면 좋겠어요. 행복한 100시간이었습니다...
After fully playing through this game, I would really recommend it. The start is a bit tedious to get through but from the midgame till the end it really feels like a journey. Enjoyed it a lot. Octopath traveler 2 is still my fav but this game comes close! <3
