This platformer's gameplay, visuals, and control flaws do not justify the high price. Update: the price has been lowered, but the achievements or the bug that prevents you from progressing have not been fixed. As is often the case with puzzle platformers, you don't know anything about the world, yourself, or what's happening. You simply move forward, picking up bits and parts from the environment. Sadly, this game doesn't have anything interesting. The images are monotonous, consisting of black, white, and gray. Although environments are basic, they do include certain details to make them more intriguing. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see much because the game is rather dark. The majority of the light emanates from the middle of the screen, becoming darker as it approaches towards the corners. The robot under your control doesn’t have any fancy abilities. Aside from the jump button, which you will use frequently, it can also pull and push crates. This is used in rare logic puzzles where you have to press some switches o ruse some other mechanic. Although the majority of challenges involve platforms and dodging threats, platforming sadly has several issues. The jump is mostly effective, however the robot will not jump if it is too close to an edge. It may happen on simple platforms where you just walk in one direction and jump, but nothing happens and the robot goes off the edge. Because gaps between platforms necessitate precision, you frequently jump too early and miss the platform, or too late. Another issue is that while the robot can hold the edge of certain platforms, it often refuses to pull itself up. Because of the limited visuals, you have no idea which platforms can be grabbed and which cannot. Some challenges require you to be quick, therefore the mentioned issues ruin a lot of simple puzzles, which become tedious because of poor controls. Challenges encountered on the path are nothing new. There are pits, moving platforms, platforms that disappear when jumped on, saws, and so forth. Most are fine and don't create any problems, however other areas are frustrating due to the robot's poor reaction time. One of them are timed platforms, which require you to count seconds in your head before jumping. Because you'll be dying a lot, the game manages checkpoints exceptionally well, saving before each challenge. Although respawning takes only a few seconds, it should still be faster. You'll now spend a few seconds watching your death before respawning. The game's assets are minimal, so loading should not be an excuse. Achievements are broken, so even if you devote time to the game, it does not feel rewarding. You won’t even be able to finish the game because there’s one bugged switch that doesn’t work when you place the crate over it. With so many issues, the game is clearly not worth the high price. If this was 60-70% less expensive, it would be easy to recommend because you know exactly what you're getting.
