I haven't beaten the game, and if I can update this I will, I've reached the third part of the game so far, and the game is incredibly similar to Super Meat Boy. You play a cute square guy, who saves a square girl, and beats bosses. The gameplay is fairly similar as well, except it's incredibly "slippery." By that I mean the acceleration in this game is ridiculous, and makes some levels way harder than they need to be. If you haven't played Super Meat Boy, I'd recommend that over this. If you have and you're just looking for another platformer to scratch your itch, this might scratch it for an hour but eventually the levels get incredibly frusterating purely due to how they're designed. It's not that it's difficult to master like SMB, it's difficult to play, like I Wanna Be The Guy or Wings of Vi design their games. I recommend this game only if you're looking for a game like those. EDIT: I just beat this game, there's four sections to the game. The level designs okayish, it try's really hard to be edgy, but it's a 5 dollar game. I didn't really like it, you could say everything was intended to be the way they are, but I much prefer speed that makes sense in accordance to the level design (trying to jump through a narrow gap when you move so fast, you'll hit the spike wall a ♥♥♥♥ ton of times.) Fun lil game but not really worth the money. I'd play it on Newgrounds.

I enjoyed it <3
Tl;dr: nice atmosphere, hard to control, infuriating at times, has some story(?), works with x360 controller and keyboard, and is pretty fun. 7/10
Full review: Where to start... idk. I'll start with the story. Definitely something going on, but I have no clue what. I'd say I'm not trying to spoil anything here, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to if I wanted. It's not too complicated but it feel like details are missing here (the word screens seemed to have too little information, too far apart) but on the plus side, it puts more focus on the game-play at least. The graphics were nothing to write home about but they worked fine for the game. The good thing was the consistency (nailed that IMO). Nothing really looked out of place aside from the background and some text having some aliased anti-aliasing in it, but that was forgivable since it didn't detract from the mood that was going on. The music was good. It fit okay as far as I could tell. The SFX didn't seem out of place either. Keyboard controlling worked but felt way too extreme in the horizontal direction and underwhelming in the vertical direction. I believe this was intended but it really feels weird to control. Ultimately I ended up copying over x360ce so I could play on my Ouya controller for better control which helped a bit, but not much. So I guess that's also good in the sense that there's minimal advantage gained by owning extra hardware? And on that note, here comes the rant of this review: the difficulty curve. I'll be blunt: it's all over the place. It starts out fairly reasonable. There's a bit of variance, but it generally starts easier and gets harder. Then we get to the point where the tracking bullets come in. Now, these things are virtually impossible to escape once they're fired since they move faster than you and are always pointing directly at you. They are infuriating (especially on the few levels that they spawn-kill you) and are not fun whatsoever. Cleverly placed spikes that you have to time your jumps for? Fun. INESCAPABLE BULLETS!? Not fun. Even less fun when there's more than one per level. And even less fun when there's more than one per level AND you have to collect multiple keys AND you have to collect coins to get to the exit. The most fun points were the parts that these tracking bullets had minimal presence. If the rest of the levels were more like this, I think the game would be much better. To me, they just add an enormous amount of challenge with no feeling of accomplishment since you can't actually do anything about them, you just have to get lucky with your timing (and I mean like, frame-perfect timing on some levels). My suggestion would be to either noticeably slow down the bullets or redesign those levels to not require tracking bullets to make them feel difficult. Additionally, I felt they caused the game to break the "approximate rage threshold" (as I call it) and made me want to snap someone's neck. Luckily I have a great amount of restraint and did no such thing for the sake of not having to write this review from prison. </rant> From here, I would say the boss battles are certainly interesting and appropriately challenging, though their placement in the progression seemed kinda random. The mechanics aren't incredibly unique, but serve their purpose well. Finally, in terms of glitches and exploits, I only found one significant issue, that being the fact that you can fit through the (what I assume to be) decorative holes in many of the levels. This lets you completely bypass a few hazards in several levels which isn't enough for me to say it's game-breaking, but it feels like it wasn't intentionally included. So there you have it. Personally I don't care for rage-style platformers but I think possibly people who liked Super Meat Boy may feel it's pretty fun. And that's all I have to say about that.
Game has some good design and shows promise, however I cannot recommend since even basic movement is incredibly frustrating and makes basic puzzles quite difficult. Developer I read this was your first game, you show promise just don't make it so difficult to control next time. Played using keyboard
非常不错的一款独立游戏!画面卡通,富有创意,值得一玩!
The game is beautifully simple. The developer obviously wasnt trying to satisfy a wide audience used to easy platformers, it is an indie game. Fun to play, quickly gets more difficult. However fun as soon as I started playing. It's worth the time.
This is a fun platformer game, the style is great. It is brutally hard, but that makes it more fun once you pass a level.
This game is a challenge. If you like challenges like I do, you'll be satisfied. OCCHIO is essentially a harder to control Super Meat Boy, with charming yet repetitive visuals, and a strange difficulty order of levels. If this sounds like something you want to spend about 3 hours on (45 minutes if you're as good as me, which I doubt), then it's worth the purchase ;)
Bad game. Controls are whack and you cannot choose any video options. And yes, the standard resolution is ♥♥♥♥♥.
