This game is a abstract minimalist 3D Puzzle Game with First-Person POV controls. I like these things. The secrets are also a lot of fun to find/complete.
I am not too enthusiastic about puzzle platformers in general, since far too many of them are focusing on platform part, which become a bottleneck even if I could deal well with the puzzle parts. So coming across a game of the genre that has included an automove/autojump mechanism to deal with that annoyance certainly sounds promising. And, well, that was the part I liked in the game and highly recommend other game developers to lift that. Now, the rest of the game: there's still the problem of first-person platforming that trying to get the cube creation/destruction to hit the point which you actually want to hit: eventually can be done (and if not, there's unlimited undo) but gives its bits of frustration. But even worse are the collectibles and secrets, which you are apparently supposed to just find in random. jump off the platforms in random directions, repeat and repeat and repeat. Destroy random cubes to see if there is something there, undo, repeat and repeat and repeat. I wonder if there are some functions and commands I am missing here or am I really supposed to be doing that? Something reasonably simple like having a rotatable level selection screen would already make the game a bit more palatable. As it is, despite the promise in mechanics, I am just finding it annoying.

The game's difficulty ramps up as you progress through the 28 levels, each of which poses unique challenges. It's not hard to work through them, though: with mechanics that are easy to pick up on without explanation (except for controls, shown when starting the game), plenty of accessibility features (those being autojump, automove, and the undo/redo buttons) that can make it easy to traverse over obstacles, and a free hint that can be picked up at the start of every level, plenty of help is given for players to work through the rather complex nature of 3D first-person puzzlers. Observation, planning, and cleverness are key in order to reach the end of all of the puzzles made, even more so with the bonus yin-yang collectibles. Overall, I would recommend this game for pure puzzle-solvers, for there is not much else offered besides a few philosophical quotes shown when passing through some transparent spheres found on a few select levels.
Pretty cool puzzle game that builds some pretty hard puzzles out of seemingly simple mechanics. Also features something I don't think I've seen in an FPS puzzle game; unlimited undo and redo.
I'm not normally a puzzle game guy, but Obversion really hooked me. It starts off simple, with the basic idea of adding and removing cubes from a beautiful TRON like world to solve puzzles, but it quickly starts to remix its own concepts in a way that I found quite delightful. There's a level in the second world where I literally burst out loud laughing when I saw what the game was doing—unexpected but totally made sense within the rules that had been set up so far. It's not an easy game—prepare your thinking caps—but it is absolutely fair, so you really get that Eureka rush of insight when you finally figure out the solution to a puzzle. The whole undo system/auto jump/auto move is something I WISH more games had. Overall: strongly recommend it! If you liked games like Portal or The Witness then you'll really enjoy this!
A lovely, easy to learn, and hard to master puzzle game. A fascinating art style paired with fiendishly clever puzzles with multiple solutions, hidden objects and a forgiving undo system? A 3D platformer that has an optional jump mode that will auto-jump to a given location so you can focus on just playing? Absolutely.
The puzzle mechanics of this game are very simple. Left mouse button is to create a cube. Right mouse button is to destroy a cube. Then you pick up objects that allow you to create or destroy more. You pick up objects that switch the number of cubes you can create or destroy. And you pick up objects that invert the editable and non-editable cubes in the world. That's about it. The puzzle mechanics don't go further than that. But even with these simple few puzzle mechanics the developer succeeded in creating 28 levels that each feel original in their own way. With only a few exceptions the levels do not feel repetitive. And many of the levels are challenging, with some of the levels being real head-scratchers, taking almost two hours to complete those levels. For some part the puzzle mechanics of this game are similar to those of other puzzle games like Qbeh-1 and Metamorphic, which also features the creation and destruction of cubes. What I very much liked of this game is that there is platforming in the game but this game is not a platformer. That is because you can use the f-button to do the platforming automatically for you. So you never miss a jump in this game. How pleasantly relaxing that is. There is also an undo button (and redo button) which is mandatory otherwise you would need to restart a level from the beginning many times, but it is also convenient to have that button. It took me 18 hours to finish the 28 levels of the game. There is plenty of playtime in this game and good value for your buck. This is a game I can recommend.
One of the best of the puzzle games type. It has just a few mechanics, but combines them in so many ways. Levels are hard, each has one extra goal. 4 worlds and each differs from other. The game has its own atmosphere Graphics is nice, music is awesome. Feeling a bit sorrow this ends so fast.
Obversion is a fun puzzle game but i got to the pyramid and didnt know what to do otherwise 8/10
