This game was very impressive. Purely psychological. A lot of walking around, if you don't like walking simulators this is not for you, however, I do like them even though it was slow burning and very explorative in an ever changing house. Just pure eeriness and the feeling of something breathing on you as you walk around. Jump scares were well timed and the intense atmosphere of it all kept me on edge. I still want to know if it was me in the trunk or driving the car? or my wife driving? lol. See my playthrough here: https://youtu.be/-JIM8kSd5N4
I didn't understand anything from the game and it's not horror game to be honest and I will put dislike for the game so my advice for you , to create another game but really horror not like this or paranormal as you like ,
Toller Walking Sim, der dinch ziemlich alleine lässt was Hinweise angeht.
To call this a slow burn would suggest at some point this picks up and does something. It does not. This is possibly the most mild form of an indie horror game you can get. Walking sim is a bit generous as this is more of a meander sim. You kinda just wander around the house and stuff just kind of happens. Eventually there's a thread of logic to follow, but it never really executes a decent jumpscare. A few bad ones? Sure it has those, it's not the loud shrilly kind, just the weirdly timed ones that are just kind of there and telegraphed heavily. This is another horror game that excessively using strobing lights to create spooky atmosphere, which is a peeve for me. Constant, aggressive strobing lights isn't atmospheric, it's obnoxious. The story for the game is also just kind of...there. It's not much a mystery, there's not much drive behind the story and trying to figure out what's going on. So because of these short comings, it's really hard for me to recommend this game... BUT What makes this game so annoying is that it has lots and lots of potential to be something very special. Made in the Unity engine, but the photo realism and lighting make this visually pop. The tight hallways makes it feel claustrophobic and tense, but it never really capitalizes on it. Now to be fair, I've played a dizzying amount of horror games so I'm maybe a bit dead on the inside, but still. There's just a lot of kind of weird scary music parts? But I never really saw much of anything scary? This game has all of the tools and the knowledge to make a solid game, but the horror elements and maybe the story could be improved and there'd something really, truly great here.
Hey! Man muss genau hinschauen.
