I'm not usually one to recommend a game that has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic, but here I am. This game has grabbed my attention to a degree I was not expecting, and I'm disappointed I didn't know about this game sooner. For something that comes across as an RPG Hobo Simulator House Flipper in a dystopian quarantine slums of Europe, it's a real gem. There is so much detail given to this game that restarting doesn't feel like a tortuous experience. If you enjoy dark comedy, survival and discovering something interesting around every corner, this game might be for you.
fake money orders go hard
Plenty to do, plenty to discover, plenty more to come with the bazaar update
i love it, cant wait for updates to add more to the game and the storyline
I am addicted to alcohol and need sauna to stay alive so I can pick poisonous mushrooms for a drug dealer to be able to afford the renovation of the building that I own somehow, while somehow trying to avoid killing myself because all there is to eat is Green Orbs and all there is to drink is weak beer, moonshine or El Presidente coffee. 10/10 I am a true Finn now, perkele vittu
Utterly fascinating life-sim that examines the parts of human society videogames never touch on.
I do recommend the game in its current state. it's just the right level of hobo-maxing you'll enjoy if that's your thing. I advise not trying to 100% achievements right now, as the amount of grinding needed to get all the money and resources needed finish everything is absurd, even when using exploits, and that's ignoring the achievements that are just outright impossible right now. expect to have a miserable time on your first character, or possibly starting multiple characters until you get the hand of things, and don't be afraid to use the console to check your stats (F1 > "player_stats get"). the game is still in early access and some stuff is still imbalanced.
Although this game has a few hiccups here and there, I absolutely love it. I like the underlying finnish mentality in the whole game. It FEELS very Finnish and I like that. The upgrading mechanics are very enjoyable and I often find myself just exploring each of the upgrades and finding what it added. It's very transformative and really enjoyable that you are turning the absolute dump that is your tenement into something genuinely comfortable, and I think the game does that amazingly. What I don't enjoy and hope that gets fixed as new updates come out is the mid-game slump. In the early game, it's really fun trying to survive with pennies, returning bottles and desperately trying to survive. In the late game, you are comfortable, you buy stuff just for keepsakes and you can use/sell anything, and I mean ANYTHING that you find in the world because you will have a lot of machines to your disposal. I genuinely love when games do a thing like this. But the midgame is pain. You don't have the cash for machines to make more cash, the rent money (if unaltered) is giving you enough money just to pay for your basic needs in the midgame and it's just a boring grind trying to get the required skill level to get a certain craft (glass panes). But who knows? Maybe you can enjoy that. Also a little note for the developers, the mines area is pretty laggy. I don't know if other people are having the same issue, the other areas run just fine, but I guess it's because how the mines area is so big. Overall, a great game to kill some time in. Absolutely love the upgrades, but the grind isn't the best.
This game is hard when you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot.
