Up until this point I completed all the normal quest possible and got the end message in the subway. My take on this: The game's pretty nice in it's own way, inspired by the two first Fallouts and all, but I think there are several ways it could be improved mechanically: -the day/night cycle, besides for showing the progression of days, has no effect apart from locking you out of some houses during the night, which you can always sleep through. So it currently has no point. The solution is to either not lock you out of houses during the night, making it purely visual but way better because it does not hinder the player's progress; the other solution would be to make the night way more influential in the game, adding night-only monsters and/or night only quests or interaction, which this way would at least serve an interest towards the player. -travelling the map is kind of a big deal in the game, not only because you have to go in different settlements to complete quests, but also because it is so slow it consumes most of the time in the game. Again, my solution on this would be to either create equipment to make you faster, which becomes available mid-game or something, or else to add some sort of fast travel between some points of the map, instead of doing all of it by walking. -concerning the combat system, I think the approach you took is neat in the way that it gives much liberty to the player (choosing to approach the enemy on the map, choosing the weapon for each attack..). It has its flaws tho, for example it makes little sense that you can simply enter the bandit camp and steal the US bombs without having to fight anyone; also I didn't need to use any firearms in the game before entering the subway, having lots of food and a machete/wrench allows you to easily defeats enemies, and I only upgraded my health one time (although the 20% damage reduction helped). Also wouldn't be upgrades for critical damage frequency and chance for avoiding enemy damage a good idea ? I'm doubting on that one for balance reasons thought. And for last maybe there's no need to put so much free stuff in the npc chests, there's so much of it I didn't need to use the good ones like sirynge. Also maybe inventory upgrades/equipment ? It's easy to get "overstuffed". All in all, I know the game is still in developpement and updates are still to come, those are just suggestions of mine to make it better, beacause I find a lot of potential in it. I hope working on the game goes well for the dev, and for anyone else who reads this review to have a nice time playing the game if they decide to try it out

I got paid 20$ for 10 fish. This game knows how to reward.
I enjoy post-apocalyptic games and found Nuclear Drifter a fantastic "old school" game. The game play and controls are simple and easy to learn - point and click. The graphics and animation are pretty good especially for an old school designed game. The background music is rather relaxing. I usually turn off background music; but, left the game running, even when I was not playing, for my own background sound. The back story and general story line could use a bit of work, I was a bit surprised to have the game suddenly stopping with a cliffhanger message about future updates leaving two unfinished quests. Overall, I found Nuclear Drifter enjoyable, relaxing to play, and I am looking forward to the update so I can finish those quests.
SAVE THE GAME BEFORE YOU ENGAGE IN A FIGHT WHERE YOU MIGHT LOSE. When you nail the art of remembering to save the game, the gameplay is fun and the music is cool

A free parody/clone/inspired by Fallout 1. Literally impossible to thumbs down this. Keep up the good work and thanks for releasing it for free.
