About
NTE is a supernatural open-world RPG developed by Hotta Studio. The story begins in the city of Hethereau, where you play as its first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter. You'll join the crew at Eibon, a rundown antique shop that keeps the lights on by taking Anomaly commissions from anyone willing to pay. Alongside a diverse cast of extraordinary companions, you'll unravel urban mysteries, ride out adventures full of laughs and heartbreak, and write your own stories in the neon-lit streets.
Welcome to the first stop in your appraisal career—Hethereau, a sprawling and vibrant metropolis!
In the crowded halls of the Bureau of Anomaly Control, hopeful Oddities queue up for resident permits, while over at the train station, an Esper commuter snaps his fingers to clean his work suit on the fly. Down one block, a chaotic chase after Danzaburou is spiraling out of control; while across the street, a vacationing silver-gloved Butler is shooting the breeze with the owner of a second-hand electronics shop. Everywhere you look, there's no shortage of intriguingly "abnormal" scenes.
Want to dive deeper into a world where humans and the supernatural coexist? Start your journey in Hethereau to see it for yourself. The lively and quirky daily life here is a grand adventure in itself.

The lack of 50/50 has removed such a primal fear in pulling that has me smilling everytime a new character shows up
NTE is a game that really stands out in a crowded genre, offering a unique blend of engaging gameplay, strong artistic direction, and exciting collaborations. From the moment I started playing, it was clear that a lot of thought and creativity went into its design. Im very glad i downloaded the game as soon as it launched outside of steam aswell and im looking forward to the upcoming updates, characters and collabs.

I just really like the the fact that we don't have that 50/50 BS in this game. (Yet.)
Tried the game at launch crash every 10 minutes, Decided to try it again when it got the steam. The crashs are fix but I wish they weren't so I didn't waste my time. There is a lot of bs I can handle, gotcha, kernel level anti cheat, crappy story, and the fomo (I unironically play Genshin) But the one thing I can't deal with is grind, it's 2026 ffs, in a time where every gotcha game is trying reduce the grind NTE really makes you feels like you are working class. There are things that can be brought with in game currency like car, character skin, pulls, houses, etc. The main way you earn them is by doing activities and hobbies, the problem is the activities/hobbies barely give anything so you have to do a crap ton of them to get to the weekly limits (city stamina). They somehow made robbing a bank tedious because it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ extraction mode which are time consuming as ♥♥♥♥. The activities and hobbies are cool but I rather just have a mode where I get money from killing enemies so I don't have to spending hours being a taxi driver. As of writing there is a skin gotcha event where you spend game currency for a chance to get some skin, if you are unlucky you would need to spend around 20 mil of in game currency for the skins so yeah that sounds fun.
if you like wasting your time fighting... well the enemy likes to go out of its fighting area you and have to start over with the enemy at full health which is unenjoyable.
Not a bad story. Interesting characters. Nice game.
