I remember buying this game on the day it came out and spending a good 6 hours doing nothing but playing it. Felt like another step towards SAO. Absurd amounts of potential ruined by developer greed. No updates in nearly 2 years, game now a cashgrab, Andy Tsen is the antichrist.
Zenith was an interesting experiment in the VR MMO Genre. Personally, at launch, I tried and enjoyed it for a bit, it was a little shallow but there were enough improvement systems to keep me playing and the flying mechanic was fun. To my understand, a lot of content was added post launch and it was shaping up to be a really fun experience. During my playtime I had plenty of fun getting new gear, new power ups for my Skills, flying around and finding upgrade items scattered among the world to improve my flying skills, there were multiple systems of improving your character even if, as I said above, a little shallow in some areas. That said, the game had its final update in 2024, the Devs citing wanting to move on to other projects, so this "MMO" is no longer supported in any real means, and what you have it what you got. The game has been abandoned and will see no future updates, meaning its a dead MMO. Not sure why a Developer would make an MMO then abandon it two years later after adding a good amount of content to it, perhaps they just got bored, or decided that it wasn't financially possible to keep an MMO like this going anymore, especially with the limited VR Market. I wonder if simply adding a paid Expansion like other MMOs might have helped? I guess we'll never know. Either way, I'm not recommending the game on that basis, the game is dead, and the Devs have long since moved on to other projects. Theres a lot of content for you to explore as a new player, problem is its balanced as an MMO so you'll probably never experience that content as its not intended to be done alone. Its a shame, because I really did enjoy the hours I put into it despite seeing the flaws in the game, I was hoping they would get fleshed out with time. Many did, but none of it matters now, just another ghost MMO. But its free so maybe you can download it and enjoy it for a few hours, but if you DO enjoy it, feel like it'd just make you feel awful knowing the games never getting updated again.

if you want a real review of the game. yes, this game was magnificent and so very much fun. but after you grinded the game you would wait many many many months for content. its a game i do not reccomend for any then or now. ramen is a studio forever you should avoid. they had the player base and everything in there hands. they would not listen to anyone and banned players from the discord aswell and gave backlash to the community, do not support them and do not buy there game as it is no longer alive or updated. i wish the company used there head they had all they coould ever need for a high level success for a mmo. do not buy this

(Majority of my hours are on Quest) This game used to be great and had a decent sized community to go with it... then they made a half baked F2P mode and regulated the base game as "DLC", which caused them to very rapidly bleed money as thousands of children that weren't paying for anything flooded the servers (not that there weren't any before, being a Quest game and all, but it definitely wasn't nearly as bad). (The Last City... the OG mode) The combat was great for the three classes, the original campaign was at least decent, though the missions could get repetitive at times. There were actual mini raids you could do with other people which was the main draw. Imagine having a dedicated community right? It's almost like that's required in order to have a live game... speaking of... (The F2P Update : Nexus) OMFG, this fragmented the original community. Most people were (reasonably) pissed off because they hadn't hardly updated the main game for an extended period of time, only to drop this ♥♥♥♥. It was decent for the honeymoon period, procedurally generated dungeons, weekly challenge dungeons and boss rushes with leaderboards that were also updated constantly, and a brand new skill tree... but the cracks started showing very quickly. A lot of the combat loop from The Last City was abandoned in favor of the above mentioned skill tree. There is one weapon and three branching paths on the tree rather than just having the three classes with their own weapons and skills that everyone already loved. All of this is without mentioning the worst implementation of seasons and a battlepass that I think I've ever seen, including a FULL WIPE of your character progress at the start of every season. You don't keep any loot, you don't keep any levels... this would be understandable for an extraction shooter, BUT THIS GAME STARTED AS AN MMO!!! WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ WOULD YOU FULLY WIPE OUR BUILDS, OUR SKILL TREE... EVERYTHING WE GRINDED TOWARDS?!?! It wouldn't be that big a deal if the leveling wasn't still using the same system from The Last City... which made leveling easier through main and side quests meaning you weren't meant to rely on mobs for xp... but you don't exactly get that luxury when the new mode ONLY HAD THE MOBS AND ZERO QUESTS, MAKING THE LEVEL GRIND TAKE FOREVER IF YOU WEREN'T NO LIFEING THE GAME, MEANING YOU LIKELY WOULDN'T EVEN GET TO TAKE PART IN ALL OF THE CONTENT OR EVENTS DURING THE SEASON! TLDR: Looking back on the history of this game is just really depressing... it overall good potential with a bit more polish in the mission structure, the community was actually good, the combat had depth with the three classes each having their own tech, and all of that along with the good will the devs had was ♥♥♥♥ on for a mid F2P mode which resulted in the community leaving, and the game being regulated to abandonware. Most people left after second season, not sure how they got all the way up to four before giving up.
Was really fun when it first came out. Now seems to be abandoned by the devs.
I felt like this game had potential. It seems to be wasted by the devs. DO NOT buy this game, it has been abandoned by the devs.
I want my money back
This game was vey promising, but they threw it all away by not listening to their community, and making stupid design decisions constantly after release.
i backed this ♥♥♥♥ on kickstarter and slowly watched as my early supporter perks were half assed then the worst decisions possible happened over and over until this game died.
