Nova Drift distills the mechanical depth and strategy of an ARPG into classic arcade space combat. Control an endlessly evolving bio-mechanical ship, face legions of strange and deadly foes, and ride the wake of a dying star across the void.

Its a great roguelike, didn't expect something certered around the classic asteroid gameplay to be so entertaining. Fun summoner build (Huge plus!), theres even some Poe styled righteous fire which also pretty cool. Metaprogression is pretty much just playing more runs, i appreciate the straightforwardness Honestly its worth buying, some nice things to see here
Absolutely Addictive Space Evolution! Nova Drift is hands down one of the most satisfying roguelike shooter I've ever played. THe core concept is brilliant - you're not just piloting a ship, you're evolving a living, biomechanical organism that grows stronger with every choice. What makes this game special is the incredible build variety. Every upgrade matters, and the modular system lets you create wildly different playstyles. Want to be a tanky, shield-focused behemoth? Go for it. Prefer glass cannon speed builds? The game supports that too. The mod trees create meaningful choices where every decision shapes your run. The gameplay loop is perfectly addictive: defeat enemies -> collect orbs -> evolve -> become more powerful -> face tougher challenges. The difficulty scaling with Elite and Champion enemies keeps you on your toes, and the reroll system means you can actually work toward the build you want. Movement feels incredibly smooth and responsive - essential for a game where "always moving" is key to survival. The shield mechanics add great tactical depth, and learning when to engage vs. when to drift away creates genuine skill expression. This is the kind of game where you tell yourself "just one more run" and suddenly it's 3 AM. If you enjoy roguelike, space shooters,or just want something with incredible replay value, Nova Drift delivers in spades. Highly Recommend!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Remember how tank.io was fun but kinda hurt your eyes to look at for awhile? This is tank.io but with the stacking upgrade depth of a proper roguelike game, and seriously gameplay changing perks of an ARPG. Excellent game, too bad there's no space whale. Probably the *perfect* Steam Deck game.
Shoutouts to Aliensrock for getting me interested in this game back a few years ago. I bought it recently, and enjoyed every second of playing it.
Such a fun little survivor game. Cool skill based movement, physics and builds. Music slaps, visuals are clean. Underrated
Yeah, I didn't spend a lot of time in this game. I hated the controls. Really hated them. Never have I been more turned off by a control scheme than this game. If this controlled like a twin-stick shooter, it would be infinitely more playable. I DID like the art style though. Kudos there.
So what's it about?
One of the first games I ever played was Asteroids. Novadrift is similar but offers a unique rogue-like twist to it. Like Asteroids you control the thrust of your ship and you can steer - taking advantage of the fact that you can scroll left of the screen to return on the right part (like the old Pacman) (or to go up to appear down on the screen) offers additional opportunities of taking down your enemies. The graphics and animation are extremely stylise. Runs are usually not long and there is so much to unlock that you are always looking forward to the next run. Then there are additional modifiers that you can unlock to make the game much more challenging and more rewarding: bigger risks, bigger rewards.
The good
Nova Drift has a very clean artistic design - less is more and that is one of the hardest things to achieve. The light effects look fabulous and the game well polished. It's all about (re)playability and it's all there. I love the music and the sound effects. There are so many upgrades: it makes every run unique and fun. As you play more you also unlock more advanced skills: a great way to reward playing the game more. The environmental effects are amazing - e.g. it's terrifying being sucked into a black hole. Nova Drift continues to get updates more than a year after its release: recently the daily challenge has been introduced with special rules offering a lot of variety and even more replayability.
The not so good
The default control scheme is quite poor. I found rebinding my thruster to left shift and steering and firing with the mouse worked best for me. You can play Nova Drift with a controller but as I needed the precision of the mouse I prefer the KBM setup. Achievements are really challenging (this can also be a good thing).
Bugs and glitches
I didn't encounter any serious bugs or glitches.
The DLCs
There are no DLCs.
Summary
Even though Novadrift has been out for a while, I discovered it in 2025. It's one of my favourite games this year: as a rogue-lite it continues to give you rewards for each run that allows you to unlock better abilities that you can then use on your next run. The graphics, music and sound effects and the gameplay of course are all so addictive and so much fun.
Should you buy it?
If you like rogue-lites it's an easy choice: yes. If you always wanted to know how Asteroids would be in the modern era then yes :-). If you like to play great polished games: then yes :D.
Wow. Such a simple little roguey-ish-like-lite-uhhhh-donthurtme-thingy, but made to such perfection with a deliciously chaotic set of upgrades that combine in so many fun and interesting ways. I could talk about how most of my hours have been with 2-3 of my favorite weapons. I haven't really explored so much of the game, and it's still been a blast. Lately, I've been trying the daily, which has a range of different rules that have pushed me (or forced me) to try out some different weapons, ships, and shields that I haven't spent much time with and it's been great. It's easy to pick up, but difficult to master, and the journey will give you hours of enjoyment. Buy it or I'll cry or something.
Well that was an incredible experience... This is the arcade game asteroids, but on every illegal drug imaginable. So much fun. I can't recommend this enough for fans of asteroids. As for people who aren't fans of asteroids, I still recommend buying this but you have to be prepared to refund this because the controls for this game are very unorthodox by today's standards. The focus here is on your own momentum, not on aiming. I've beaten the game on my second try but this has lots of unlocks and stuff that give it some replayability.
