I think this is the best game I've ever played. not because of any sort of incredible gameplay or groundbreaking improvements, but because it was a genuine experience. it manages to get so many different points across with so little actual explanation, allowing the player to take so many different meanings from it - and it just blew me away. thank you for this experience.
It was an enjoyable Experience, I wholeheartedly recommend it. A little all over the place and abit hard to comprehend, but it is short and free, so why not right?

"nothing_matters" is a godawfully bad point and click adventure that the amateur "developer" behind this train wreck created as an homage to the thing he loves above all else... himself. Yep, trust amateur developers to once more make it all about themselves. This is more visual novel than actual game, it's badly written, and it's dead boring. What do you do in the game? Click through terrible dialogue, mostly. This barely counts as a game. The idea is you go through the struggles of a game developer who isn't good enough at game development to get a real job as a game developer, so they have to publish their fan-fictions through Steam Direct. There's some minigame elements like a ripoff of the "Life" simulation... this is not contributing anything of real value to the body of over 100,000 video games on Steam. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Definitivamente surpreendente. Jogue.
I can see where this is going, I see the main idea, but I hate just how preachy it is. The voting moments are just enraging. I got the point from the first 5 voting sessions, I don't need another 50. Same goes for the news. I saw the first 100 empty and useless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ news pieces, I do not need another 1000 overflooding the screen. In my opinion it should have been shorter, some of the moments are overstretched and much longer than they should have been. The game is fine, but feels too long and too preachy.
Felt moreso like a random mishmash of concepts that never really got the attention they deserved sprinkled with a dish of undercooked shock value that probably could have worked really well if the game had a coherent storyline to begin with. I forgot I was even playing a game that was meant to be about life as a solo developer, and I say this as a developer myself. Maybe I just don't get it.
Great idea really, similar theme to other meta games like neal.fun's stimulation clicker or the Stanley parable. The effort put into this game by the developer shouldn't be taken into nothing at all, not saying that. Still, the gameplay feels like a big list of ideas, shown through minigames. Other meta games basically show that this whole thhing isn't just a list of minigames but a game itself by creating a storyline that's spread across the smaller parts. So in the beginning chiller stuff could happen. Then a problem may arise, and this affects how the smaller parts play. And then some ending of the story, and the minigames could once again reflect this. In its current state it's not exciting to play, and gets boring and repetitive very quickly.
