About
DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU DO NOT LIKE NARRATIVE GAMES

NOT FOR YOU is an album of short, narrative experiences, which you can play through in any order you would like. Each one delves further into the thoughts and feelings of the games developer, Thomas Hunt, and the struggle that is the video game industry.

Founder of award-winning indie studio InkForge Studios, Thomas Hunt is just another developer, making just another game. What makes him any different from the 100 other developers out there? Nothing. Apart from a great sense of humor of course. (This is written by Thomas, if that wasn't clear already).
Look this description is getting too long already. I COULD sit here and tell you about the socio-political skateboarding cow, but where would be the fun in that. Play the game, or don't. It's your decision, and after all, its NOT FOR YOU.

This is the best game in 2025, it made laugh, it made me cry, it helped me learn not to waste time sitting around smoking dope and eating curry all day and get up and do something with my life, I'm sure you'll feel the same way when you play this game
I really enjoyed it! I didn't want to pull the cord. PS - don't give up

Good game, continue this way. I discovered some bugs in the Greybox minigame : - If you jump on the windows, at the very start, and then jump on the roof and try going in the water, the game will respawn you into a endless void. - If you try to jump over the gate you will be stuck in the gate. If you could add invisible walls Thanks
lets be honest, i went in looking for easy achievements but what i got was a deep and thought provoking experience that got me a bit misty in the end (what? im not crying your crying! wanna fight about it?). anyway, starting with the review breakdown.. the writing was great! the overarching narrative in each of the games and in the interviews unlocked following the completion of each game was great. really drew me in and had me hooked. the gameplay was interesting. breaking the game down into separate stories or sections was a fitting way to convey the ideas being put forth in the writing. some of the platforming in the box game was a bit janky as the box hero tended to slide when he would jump and then land making for some do overs in certain areas (specifically the water section). skateboarding cow game had to be the most fun. but the somber tone of the other games kinda hit home. in the end the game was great and if youre thinking of checking it out please do and show the dev some love. that being said... this part goes out to the dev, dont give up! i know how hard it is to battle with ones own inner monologue but dont give up! im also an aspiring writer and even if nothing i write ever sees the light of day, im gonna keep pushing forward. i dont know if some words from a stranger on a screen mean anything... but hang in there! i hope you make your aspirations a reality. if nothing else, you have the support of all those that have played and given your game a positive review. keep up the good work!
Is this a prank game? I felt really off playing it. Like I shouldn't be. The weird interview tapes made me uncomfortable too. After I fell through the map in the boxman game, I gave up. I couldn't even exit the game though, I had to do it through my task manager. I feel like I need to clean my computer now lol. This game is "not for me".
I wasn't expecting a commentary about the commodification of creatives but by golly I really enjoyed it. It explicitly wasn't made for me, but it resonated anyway. Also the skateboarding game was sick.
a journey of self reflection what i didnt like: -does not include any self reflection
This game is, simply put: full of heart. A truly unique experience. It was fun and funny, and it made me think a little bit, and by "think", I'm not just talking about problem-solving, but philosophically too. I definitely laughed multiple times. If you're in the mood for something *different*, and have 45-60 minutes, you should check this one out.
