Nordic Storm Solitaire

[b]nordic storm solitaire[/b] is your average fantasy-themed +1/-1 solitaire with more than the average amount of issues. the [b]130 levels[/b] are split into 30 chapters, each level unlocks one by one and you need a certain amount of stars per chapter to unlock the next. unfortunately, you can't tell just by looking at the map if you have any non-3-star levels somewhere. the usual power-ups can be bought with gold (only consumables, no permanent unlocks), and there are occasional wildcard drops. [b]the game is really easy[/b], I only used a few power-ups and wildcards, most of the time a quick replay was enough to get 3 stars. well, I say quick but there's [b]no replay or restart button[/b], back to the map after every single level, whether you aced it or not. activating things is a bit finicky, needs extra clicks, but it also means you can't waste them accidentally, so it's fine. the story is absolutely forgettable, but [b]the music is pretty nice and everything looks good enough, except the backgrounds[/b], which are far below the expected quality (unless they were painted by a 3-year-old) and are often the highlight of such games. if only they all looked like the main menu. separate volume settings, windowed mode with a resizable window, custom cursor, optional help messages, two options for card faces and various languages to choose from, all available while playing as well, and there are in-game achievements too. there's even a [b]shuffle board toggle[/b], off by default, meaning card placement (not just the layout but what's where) is the same every time. it's not something you see often and I liked it, made things more puzzly, and leaving it optional was a wise choice. unfortunately, there are [b]further issues[/b] on top of the ones already mentioned: the next level unlocks even if you fail the current one (might be intentional), turning sfx down still plays sound effects, text is sometimes positioned incorrectly or off-screen, the newest wildcard is covered by the others until the next level, unlocking an achievement always shows the one for using 20 wildcards and it doesn't disappear until the game is restarted, and the undo achievement doesn't seem to work. the whole thing takes [b]about 3 hours[/b] and it's just more of the same, which would be fine if it wasn't a buggy mess. I don't care about achievements, but when they permanently cover part of the screen, it's a problem. [b]don't bother with this one.[/b]

Nordic Storm Solitaire is another nice and relaxing card game.

It's lazy designed midterm student exam level game with lot of bugs. - achievements don't work properly - you earn one but always pops up "20 wildcards" one - after achievement pops up it won't hide - sloooooooow loading levels even on ssd - sloooooooow animation of unlockng new chapters - to repeat you have to go to map - look on previous point - useless story which slows everything up even further - even using abilities is slow and clunky - after clicking window pops up with choice - "Use" button form abilites can sometimes get jammed - sometimes you can use cards that are clearly below others - wildcards sometimes obscures one another - you have to click on them to see what you have - wildcards sometimes blinks with no reason - after first chapter you know everything - there's nothing new whole game - on map i've maxed out everything and every chapter is grayed out ecept second with no reason - after finishing chapter and clicking it again caption "Chapter Completed!" is out of box - game crashed once - way too easy - money and shop is almost useless

This game is not difficult at all. It's a nice game to play when you want something mindless to do to pass the time. I got it in a bundle on fanatical. I would not have purchased it individually. I usually play it in the morning while drinking my coffee. Again there really is no challenge at all. It is almost impossible to not win each level.
