NOCT is not dead. It is merely... hibernating. As of the time of this review, you are unable to actually purchase NOCT. Therefore, it is very likely that only owners of the game can see this for right now, unless you're sent a link directly to the store page. This man right here: https://www.twitch.tv/moatdd, has been diligently working on this project. He's essentially making NOCT from scratch and it's all under the radar, so the general public who have played this game and left it are unaware of the progress being made. To be fair, there hasn't been an official update on the game in quite a few years. It's easy pass this off as abandoned. When moatdd finishes his work on the update, NOCT will be back and ready for action like never before. So again... NOCT is not dead.
In its current state, the game is a shell, perhaps barely a proof of concept. It features a 5-6minute gameplay loop that gets old after the first 1-2 repetitions. This game was fantastic... back in 2016-17. Afterwards, it seems there were complications, or perhaps a change in the direction, it's unclear, but now, the game hasn't received any updates in forever. That said, it is now being developed by a one-man army over on twitch @ https://www.twitch.tv/moatdd/ Recommend checking it out. This guy is motivated, capable, and dedicated. I'm confident Noct will make a comeback, when it is ready. But for now, in the developer's own words- don't buy the game until it comes out of EA. We're rooting for you, moatdd! I, for one, am ready to recommend this title one day. Not losing hope.

It's too bad this never took off, the design and concept is brilliant and incredibly well executed. RIP Noct
This game had so much potential. What was there was a lot of fun. BUT. It was, and still is, unfinished.
GAME IS NOT DEAD REPEAT GAME IS NOT DEAD! The game dev is working hard on his own to make the game move forward. It looks like based on what his streams show the game is going to take a big u-turn in terms of graphics and gameplay. SO STAY TUNED FOLKS!
Another Devolver Digital scam.
Once promising, but long dead. A shame it was abandoned.
Have you ever wanted to wander around aimlessly in the dark for a few minutes before dying? Well do I have a game for you!
Bought this years ago to support the development as I liked the "sales pitch". This game is one of the reasons I will never buy Early Access games again. As is the game is nothing more than a dull demo.
Great example of a typical Kickstarter scam
