Nock: Hidden Arrow is a stealth archery dungeon crawl full of sneaking, shooting, throwing, and the occasional surprise bout of frantic combat. No potions, xp, hit point management, or penny pinching for gear upgrades. The focus is on action, feel, and theme.

This is a great start! I really hope they flesh this game out!
Great demo. Awesome potential! Can't wait to see the actual game.presently not worth buying as it is a complete demo.
(Played with Oculus Rift.) This is by far my favourite archery experience of the three or four I've played. I've always been partial to stealth gameplay and this does it quite well. Firing off arrows feels natural and is left-hand friendly. The arrows move smoothly - no jerking around as you try to line up a shot. The addition of an optional shot preview line is great for people new to vr archery or for lining up a crucial long distance kill. Stealth and exploration are aided by magic light orbs that you can pull from your waist and held to illuminate your surroundings or thrown to distract and lure enemies. When used as a light source they can be silently extinguished by returning them to your waist. Movement also felt great to me - the movement direction is based on the direction your hand is facing, not your head, so you're free to look around as much as you want while walking. Arm swing and head bob movement are also options, as is teleportation. I've encountered four enemy types - two types of goblins, one with sword and shield and one with a slingshot, orc warriors and a minotaur. Goblins and orcs can be felled with a single headshot but the minotaur appears to be a bit tougher. Or maybe I've just never managed to score that perfect hit. The environments are dark and moody with great sound design. Enemy footsteps are clear among the ambient noise, always letting you know when you need to tread cautiously. I really wish more indy titles put this much care into their work.
Some of the worst load times (the game will spend more time loading than playing) I have ever encountered make this completely unplayable.
This is one of those VR games where when you first start it up, you think it could be pretty cool. That is, if you get past being stuck in the intro loading screen. But when you really get into the gameplay, you realize just how bad it really is. There are only four levels in this game they all look EXACTLY the same, which is a confusing maze of dark empty dull corridors. There is also an issue with the enemies because they all zigzag quickly towards you if you are seen. You then end up firing arrows at point blank range because they are always right up in your face. There is also no way to manually save the game and you can only take a few hits from their extremely accurate arrow shots or hits from a sword until you die. So you are then forced to restart the entire level. This game has all the indications of an early VR game that has been abandoned by the developer. There are much better archery VR options out there such as In Death, QuiVR, Lone Archer, and Wrath of the Fire God.
Cool minimalist stealth dungeon crawler. I paid 1 euro for the key and i don't regret the experience. I have played the whole game content wirelessly on Quest 2 and using the app Vrocker for locomotion. It did work perfectly with some tweakings of the control scheme via Steam Vr menu. At the end i was running (and walking) in place activating Vrocke on the left grip button. The game features roughly: - 3 dungeons - 4 intelligent enemies: 2 kind of Goblins, one of them attacking from the distance, Ogres and Minotaurs. - Bow and arrow - Throwing globes for illumination and baiting the enemies The game is basic but polished and definitaly had its moments, I will especially remember running away in corridors, by running phisically in place via VRocker, looking back and seeing all the mobs running after me, including 3 meter tall Ogres. Then stop, suddenly turn around and plant an arrow right in the their forehead.
Good options for movement. The head boob (run in place) feels really good. The collisions are great, the arrow fly and general movements are good, very important in an archery game. The scenery seems a bit boring after a while.
6.9 out of 10 Okay I haven't played this much but rather impressed early impression. A dungeon crawler with archery, simple but done rather well with decent mechanics. To survive it's about listening carefully for footsteps around every corner, steathing and popping shots from the shadows. It creates a well balanced stressful atmosphere that keeps you on point. Fairly priced.
Neat little game! Tutorial is well made and you get into the game quite easily. Sneaking around is really fun and immersive and shooting with the bow works real nice. Lighting in the game is fantastic! Probably best lighting in any VR game at the moment. Developer seems active so I'm expecting more updates! Couple things I want to see in the game in the future: -- Enemies that shoot back. (after you get used to the bow it becomes quite easy to kill the melee enemies) -- More objects I can interact with! -- More environment variety.
**Update 2/9/17 Wow, I finally beat it! Talking about a feeling of accomplishment! The 3rd and final mission of the campaign takes skill and a bit of luck definitely won't hurt. I got fed up after failing the "Not Another Wave Shooter" mission over 10 times in a row so I swallowed my pride and clicked the "Auto-finish current mission" only to find out it was the last mission. I couldn't go out like that, so I decided I was going to beat it and about 5-6 tries later, I did. *Note/possible spoiler but not really, the waves are more or less random in this mission (regarding which enemies you face in a given wave) aside from the fact that the first wave is usually just one big orc or maybe 2 little goblins and the next waves will have more and/or bigger enemies to ramp up the difficulty each wave. If there's a particular loadout on a wave like the 5th or 6th wave that you can't beat, just try again and when you get back to that wave in the next try it might be different. Just, DON'T GIVE UP! There are 3 types of enemies you face: goblins, a large orc, and a giant minotaur. I hope the dev adds some more when he adds another campaign. Even though I have no issues in this game with my 3 sensor setup or my current 4 sensor setup, I'm looking forward to official Oculus support like smooth turning with the analog stick of the Touch and hopefully Onward style locomotion. -end of update 2/9/17** I'm really enjoying my time with Nock: Hidden Arrow. I've pretty much had enough of the wave shooters other than to check out the models, which a lot of them are quite impressive in that regard. But it's refreshing when you find a game like this. I'm playing on my Oculus with Touch Controllers in 360 setup ( 3 sensors) and have had no issues other than some weird grid-shaped graphical glitches due to my GPU overclock being too much to be stable with this game, but was easily fixed by dialing back my overclock. The basic game mechanics are shooting goblins and orcs with cool-looking glowing arrows and/or using stealth to get past them while continuing on your merry way. The addition of being able to use decoys is a nice touch too, where you can throw a glowing ball/orb in order to draw the baddies' attention to line them up for a good shot or sneak past them while they're checking out the decoy. You can tell by playing this game that it's really solid base that can be added onto and improved upon to create an experience worth far more than the asking price. It already has a campaign and the intro says that there's more to come. I've only played and beaten the first mission of the campaign (The Outskirts) so keep that in mind. However, the only cons I would call out are that it's a dungeon setting where the interior all looks kind of the same and I've only seen two enemy character models (goblins and orcs) so far but maybe there are more. The goblin and orc models do look cool tho especially with an arrow sticking out of their head. :) Pick this one up and I don't think you'll regret it.
