About
You are a Neural Organic Replicant Model, or N.O.R.M. You wake in a mysterious facility and quickly realize you are not alone. The facility’s artificial intelligence has taken over - and the result is horrific.
Build on the successes of every run, looting everything you can extract with, unlocking new weapons, useful gear, and meaningful attachments as you delve deeper into the facility. You sense your humanity slipping away as you become the monster you need to be to escape… if you were ever human at all.
Procedurally Generated Runs
Facility layouts, encounters, vent connections, and loot paths are randomized every run. No two attempts are the same, forcing constant adaptation and planning.
Tactical Combat
Crawl through vents with a suppressed rifle or take enemies head-on with a fully automatic shotgun. You are the agent of emergent chaos.
Extraction-Based Risk Loop
If you want to keep it, survive long enough to extract with it. If you want to build it later, turn it in to Terminal.
Persistent Meta Progression
Death is inevitable and progress is accumulative. Materials and implants persist across each life, making each N.O.R.M. more powerful than the last.
Meaningful Gear & Loadout Decisions
Weapons, attachments, and gear change how you play and the choices you make. Experiment with loadouts to survive with whatever you can find.
Every death is a chance to learn.
Every life is a chance to evolve into something too powerful to contain.

Reviews
I feel like I have enough time in the game currently to be able to provide an objective and fair review. To start TL;DR No Time For Pants is a really fun spin on the rogue-like genre with a new aesthetic, neat atmosphere and genuinely engaging game play loop. There are a lot of bugs (with an attentive Dev who seems committed to fixing them), and a few choice game play decisions that feel oppressive for casual players. In Depth Opinion. The first time I put on the sunglasses I smirked at how creative this Dev was. When I put my first sight on a gun I couldn't help but fall in love. The fact that the small gear changes you make not only impact solid numerical statistics but also affect a lot of the game in a tangible way really spoke to me. Having a hard time seeing your "iron sites?" Slap on a site, having trouble determining your "aiming-cone"? Slap on a laser site. All of this in a 2-d game. The combat is frenetic and chaotic, but rewards a calm demeanor and level-headed thinking. Overwhelmed and can't do anything to get away? Start jumping strategically to dodge attacks and run when you have a straight-away. Get caught on fire? Run near a sprinkler, or run to the nearest fire alarm and pull it. (Or just y'know.. jump up and down until it goes out) The Actual game play loop fits the usual fair of what you'd expect from an extraction rogue-like. Get loot, sell it, progress further building up resources for your next "new run" all the while the slight twist being that the loot you return will slowly but surely snowball as you have the ability to purchase better starting gear you find during your runs until eventually you're walking out every time with a laser rifle and a rifle with a massive magazine. The atmosphere is top notch and really sells what the Dev was going for. Broody techno beats crescendo into fast paced battle music ramping up the tension and forcing you to focus in just a little bit more for the sound of enemies as they approach you. Spooky atmospheres with bodies and rot everywhere. All the while dealing with The Thing-esque creatures and abominations crawling towards you. The bad There are some glitches that can make individual runs entirely useless, things that ARE ACTIVELY being worked on from what I've seen and with the recent beta-build a lot of those issues do appear to be ironed out/so infrequent I find myself just going "whelp this run is a wash" and just jumping back in knowing the next one will be fine. Some of the moments in the game feel unfair for the player, (for instance there are instances where you are randomly swarmed with monsters that aren't ever sign posted or explained. A pseudo "blowout" if you would) There are also monsters that need specific parts of their bodies shot without much training/game play queues to indicate as such as much of the combat prior to this rewards just shoot at center mass. (There is one obvious one that is sign posted very well and is designed to give you time to experiment, but others that are more destructive in moment to moment experiences in much quicker fashion) The lack of a way to "suspend" a run is also something I think the game sorely needs. If the Dev does read this, I highly HIGHLY recommend having a way to suspend a run, even if it's something that can only be done in the Terminal (the games safe hub area). This decision above all else is one of the major reasons I say the game isn't necessarily casual friendly, a reliance on "One chance per run, and if you "leave" the run for any reason then the run is over" while fitting with the spirit of the game, doesn't do much for the enjoyment of it. It can be frustrating when you are having a good run with a NORM and find yourself with good equipment that you aren't ready to part with/want to squeeze in one more visit to Lobby but need to step away from the game knowing your NORM is done for. Reiteration of the TL;DR No Time For Pants is a really fun spin on the rogue-like genre with a neat aesthetic, neat atmosphere and genuinely engaging game play loop. There are a lot of bugs (with an attentive Dev who seems committed to fixing them), and a few choice game play decisions that feel oppressive for casual players.
Found this game from tomato, watched maybe 20 minutes of the stream and knew I had to give this a look myself. Genuinely one of the coolest little extraction type games I've played in a while. It's funny, it's intense, and it's hard. I highly recommend giving this game a look if its something you think you might be interested in. Also I think terminal is cool. :)
No Time For Pants is true to its name, and you gotta respect the vision. This game does not hold your hand or apologize for what it is. It makes no attempt to explain itself; entire systems are left for you to figure out, and good luck with that, because there isn’t a single YouTube tutorial to save you. Don’t be fooled by the silly hats. No Time For Pants is a butt-clenching tactical shooter where one mistake means you’re dead. It’s unfair, brutal, and totally uncompromising, and that’s exactly what makes it great.
I'm having a great time with this game. The learning curve is steep and you're gonna die a lot but once you start figuring it out I you'll get hooked
At first i consider this game was odd, i mean, what kind of absurd was that to make your char die if you exit the game? Also, how silly is that the medkit just heal a small amount of health and it require alot of it, why? And the use rate of battery is rudiculously high, and constantly depleted because of the permanent implants. And if it not powered, it take down your hp as compensation, why should bother to upgrade then, right? And then, after you get a better gears or weapons to compensate that all, it still useless in the long run because why bother? Its all gonna lost anyway when you exit the game, right? And most importantly, the CURSOR! UGH, i was really pissed of it at first, it really small, and gray in colour, how the ♥♥♥♥ should i aim with that?? But still, i wont giveup to try, keep continue to play, and manage to return back to terminal with all the loots. And that when i realized, all of my gear is register if i sold it in the terminal, so i can use it again instantly and infinitely if i got enough credit, which persistence through the entire savegame. The cursor, turn out it change accordingly to the scope of the weapon, so no scope, no shiny cursor to aim, lol. And the battery, the are some gear that charge your power need, even enough to power a laser gun. And the sound the gun when you firing, it surprisingly good, very realistic. Also, the are some medkit attachment that let you mending alot of health with only a small amount of medkit, and faster too. Wow. Really? This game probably being misunderstood, the reason for a low player count and review. But honestly, if you love rouge type of game, you should try this game, and got laught at all the surprise you find while playing. I mean cmon, its cheap already, what not to like. And for the dev, thank you for this awesomely surprising fun game, and bless your kindness for charging this huge fun with only a small amount of money.
I really wanted to like this, but wow — this game fights you harder than the enemies do. You start the first level, kill a rat‑on‑fire looking thing, try to walk past it, and the tiny ember it leaves behind instantly kills you. Respawn, open a door, and something crawling on all fours deletes you before you even understand what it is. The game gives you almost no health, the enemies do a ton of damage, and they take five bullets to kill. It’s not difficulty — it’s imbalance. I love roguelikes and extraction shooters, and I can see the potential here. The graphics and style are great. But the actual gameplay loop is super boring because you’re forced to repeat the first level endlessly with almost no progress. I can’t imagine how many times you’re expected to grind the same room just to maybe unlock a new gun. Enemy spawns are a mess. The game literally drops enemies on top of your head. Open a door? Hope nothing spawned directly in front of it or you’re dead instantly. Several times I reloaded my gun, an enemy charged me, and the gun just refused to fire even though it had ammo. That’s not difficulty — that’s broken. The game also explains almost nothing. The terminal uses a shuffle icon — the same icon roguelikes use for rerolling rewards — but here it’s the accept button. Nothing in the UI communicates what anything does, and the game never teaches you the basics of its own systems. And then there’s the ammo problem. I cannot forgive the game for not giving you enough pistol ammo to clear the first level. Everything was going fine, and suddenly I’m out of ammo and completely useless. There’s no melee, no fallback option, nothing. The enemies take a ton of bullets, and the game never explains that you have to buy ammo — nor does it give you the chance once you pass the terminal. You apparently have to clear the level to buy more ammo… but it’s the first level. It makes no sense. This game looks like it was made for someone exactly like me, but the balance and design choices completely fumble it. When you don’t let the player progress, the fun dies fast. Right now, No Time for Pants just isn’t fun. They need to ease up the early game, fix the spawns, and let players actually see more than the first room. This is a pass from me. Can’t recommend. Refunding.
Cool little shooter at a cheapness, I live I die, I live again!
Will properly review this game more in depth as I get more time put in. For now however, I think the game's great. It may seem a bit different in terms of how some of the mechanics are done at first, but I think that's part of the charm for this game that will help make it stand out from others in the same genre. Really looking forward to putting more time into the game hopefully soonTM.
